Anyone heard of these drives? or has one who can review?

They seem to be new in rsa - with 5 year warranty. looking at upgrading my 2 year old 500gb samsung 860evo to a bigger drive for all the games
Looking at 1tb and 2tb drives mainly.

I think you are referring to a generic ssd HIkvision provides for their CCTV products? Its not a new SSD brand.

Well I cant review from using the actual product but I mean Hikvision has been a major player in the security field so I would assume their products will work as expected.

Hikvision is sold by Pinnsecc which is a division of pinnacle so I mean shold be fine and a 5 year warranty, what are you waiting for lol, the NVME speeds are insanity!

Put a Samsung 970+ evo in your system, and use the current 500GB for games. Clearing Windows from it, will give you 30-50GB.

PLEASE for the love of all things holy, get a QUALITY NVME SSD as your boot drive.

Funny tho, spec wise it barely beats the evo 970 plus, at less than half the price. The samsung only beats it at random read speed, and barely at that.

I am sorry but that was some pretty dumb advise given you did 0 research.

And yes i own a samsung, and feels cheated.

No idea, as soon as evetech gets stock i'll be able to run the flash id and identify it for you.

edit: Seems to be a Phison controller, same controller thats found in kingston/ocz/toshiba ssd's among others.

This quote is for the 1TB model:
The E2000 uses the PHISON PS5012-E12 controller, which uses a 28nm process and provides 8-channel NAND Channels. It is equipped with two 512MB DDR4 RAMs on the SSD and provides 1GB of RAM Buffer. In terms of debugging technology, it supports LDPC and StrongECC technologies to enhance SSD reliability.

These are paper results. Get some real world results. I'll be the 1st to dump my Samsung for a Hikvision if they're even 10% slower overall , in realworld tests vs my 960. Double the disk space for a new quality SSD VS 2nd hand price on my 960 would grab my attention in a second, assuming "all" SSD's don't suddenly tank in price.

Sorry but the 970+ drives just don't perform as they should, at least 300MB/s under quoted speeds.

The HP ex950 or 920 are waay better value for money.

I bought the auros rgb 500gb nvme- to match my biuld- just looking for a bigger drive for all my games. The 500gb 860 evo is looking small from a game drive perspective.
