Any hikers that can recommend a hiking trail in the Cape Town area aside from the tried and tested Lion's Head and Platteklip Gorge. Saw some reels about Kloof Ridge corner that looked promising. Keen to hear any first hand feedback on recommended trails. Thanks!

Kirstenbosch has a good few (Skeleton's Gorge is not a quick one BTW).

Is there one you'd recommend as a "quick before work hike" ?
want to make the most of a few days of remote working that I have down there.

I would say Saddle to oppelskop is a quick one (around 5km). It starts from the Devils peak hike and does a loop coming back on the woodstock caves contour path

-Newlands forrest has a shirt loop hike (45-1 hours depending on fitness)
- Kloof corner up and down is short
- If you looking for just a scenic walk, Pipe track is flat and perfect for a run/walk before work

I suggest downloading an app called All Trails. have tons of hikes on there

A lot of these hikes will vary depending on your fitness level... Platteklip is not for the unfit and is around 2 hours up

More seriously, have a friend who used to do Ou Kaapse Weg and Silver mine a lot.

To be clear, do not go to Lavendar Hill! That was a joke! 😱

I did a few hikes on and around Table Mountain that was worth it. if you love a bit of a challenge, the skeleton George hike is pretty good. There's a few hikes you can do at Kirstenbosch botanical gardens that's also very nice with the family or friends.
I would also recommend downloading an app called ALLTRAILS. just add the area your thinking about going and it will give you a nice description, loads of photos and even videos of others that hiked it.
There's also some nice hiking groups on Facebook that would make even more suggestions.
Enjoy the hikes, the Cape Town area has 100's of hikes worth checking out.

There are some nice trails on the west coast where you can walk among the fynbos and in a couple of months time then the flowers start to bloom and the nature actually comes alive or a nice walk through the west coast national park all around the langebaan lagoon with some nice sights of the Atlantic Ocean and the fynbos. Is all awesome.
