Hi guys.

So I got a 3GB 1060 that is supposed to replace my old 5870.
The PC doesn't boot up at all - just a black screen when I install the 1060.

Now from MSi's forums they recommend only upgrading the BIOS to ME8 (Which I guess is a BIOS version) if you have a Ivy Bridge CPU. I've got a i7 860.
Apparently one cannot go back to ME7 once flashed to ME8.

Has anyone done something similar? I dont want to brick this mobo.

You must have your specs written down wrong . An i7 860 is 1st gen so that won't work on your MSI P67 board
What are the correct specs ?

Did you clear your bios properly before installing the card, and please make sure on your hardware specs, like said that cpu will not work in that board, and p6x boards are 1155 sandy bridge.
