I ONLY play CSGO, so I am looking for a gaming mouse and all I care about is performance in CSGO. I also prefer minimalist and simple (No funny shapes with millions of buttons)

I play on eDpi at around 1200 - 1300

I keep going back to my Logitech G400, which is old and outdated. Currently ranked MGE.

Had a Logitech G403 Hero for 6 months. Was a great mouse both performance and aesthetics wise, but I just couldn't succeed with it in CSGO. It was as if it felt too accurate... I know, it sounds dumb, and it's hard to explain what I mean. I had difficulty tracking a player when they and/or I were both moving. I have better tracking with my G400. The problem is not finding a target, but rather tracking a moving target. It was as if the G403 was too sensitive.

The G400 is on the heavier side, while the G403 was on the lighter side....Maybe this had an impact. Both mice are quite large.

  • My hands are medium sized (19 x 10cm).
  • I prefer palm grip, sometimes claw palm grip
  • I will probably fit better with a medium to larger mouse, but not sure as I have never owned a smaller mouse. Cannot test this now as there no event like Rage happening for me to test a million mice

I've considered the below mice:

  • Zowie EC1-B and EC 2-B. Both popular in Csgo and seem to be very comfy mice which will fit my medium sized hands.
  • Razer Deathadder V2. Looks like a comfy mouse. Apparently a good mouse according to most reviews
  • Logitech G Pro. Looks simplistic and comfortable, but it has the same sensor as the G403 Hero I owned and I am afraid that I might have the same problems. Also afraid it might be too light / small
It would be great to hear what others are using and any useful recommendations.

Thanks

Zowie EC series is outdated now, if you like their shape, think of Glorious mouse. Same shape. The Model D is a EC 2 B near-clone (evetech). That's a mouse to try.

If you want to try an ambi shape, and cheap, and excellent, Logitech G102.

EndGame XM1, if you like long, low profile shapes, it has this feeling to it where it feels design for accuracy. The front end always feels like it is precise and good for flicking. The back fills out your palm and the side buttons, if you enjoy some travel are phenomenally placed. never had a M4 feels like it is in such a good position.

1200-1300 edpi is pretty high. Usually lower is better
Playing on lower does not work for me. I also do not like using my whole mousepad to make small movements. I usually rest my wrist and move my hand for the majority of movements.

Nothing wrong with my Logitech M170. Been working for 3 years, only recently had to replace the battery.

Rival 310 works well for me. Everything is dependent on muscle memory. It took me at least 2 months before I was comfortable with it. The biggest difference for me was the lift tracking difference. The 310 was very different to my old Gigabyte Ghost.

I like mice a bit heavier and bulkier. The 310 was a little light at first, but you get used to anything after a while.

i can vouch for the Rival 310, I use it in csgo and it's great. I do have my eye on the model D but for now I'm very happy.

After a lot of reviews etc, I eventually settled on a mouse which I did not think I would and I must say I am very happy.

Logitech G102. Very simplistic mouse and works great. Got it for very cheap as well.

Thanks for everyone's input.

Love this mouse, I own one dude, only downside is that hand cramps is a thing after a while because of the small size. Pretty sure the G102 and G403 sensor performs identical, I know their weight is like 1-2g different xD strange choice coming from the G403 if weight and accuracy was an issue :p good choice nonetheless.

I have bought so many G102 mice for people as gifts, and all of them still use them and love them. I've seen one of them sell his more than double as expensive mouse happily, just to play with G102 rather.

In my mind, the quintessential CSGO value for money mouse, with amazing look, feel and sensor.

Even bought one for my wife, and was thinking the other day, that If I had to, I'd be happy to shoot people in the head with it too. :) No violence-o ?
