Hi Carbies,
I have another query, Recently bought honda civic hatch back 2009 model, after couple of months noticed that the car described as sedan though it was a hatchback
so my question is - is it possible to be classified that particular car can be described as sedan from manufacturer even though it is hatch? can this be corrected ? if yes what sort of implications can cause ?
please suggest..
TIA,
Bachi

Are the engine and VIN numbers the same (doc vs vehicle)?

Reg paperwork is always filled in by a human and they must fill in what type of body it is. So that can be one of the causes of the difference.
Look up on google for a Vin number decoder for Honda and you will see in Vin number if its a sedan or hatchback, year of manufacturer, engine, etc etc.

Got a friend with a Citi Golf with the same problem. Someone suggested he go for a roadworthy test again and get them to correct the data.

He is worried cos he's been told that they will impound the car but he has noticed many Citi with same description error.
