Are you sure those WD's are only 2 years old? Purps have a 3 year warranty, and WD site says the warranty ended Sep 2017, making them ~3.5 years old. Any chance you have the invoice ?

That’s probably since date of manufactured. We bought a few dvr’s around 2 years back and they always had those drives in them.

Please check with supplier then Im VERY keen on the Purp's if still under warranty, which they should be.
