Deal Thread URL:https://carbonite.co.za/index.php?threads/hauwei-p20-pro.386485/#post-2550889
Seller:
@veez007
Buyer: @linsong018
Description of Bad Deal:
So put up add to sell my phone, got contacted by buyer and was given a sob story. Buyer could not make payment in full, so was hesitant to send phone at first. I contacted a previous seller @Dudeson who dealt with buyer and was said he had a similar deal with part payment and payment was sorted out.

That put my mind at ease and I agreed to accept part payment and shipped the phone.
Phone was received by buyer and his currently still using it.

Buyer messed me around with excuses after excuses. Being the person that I am, I still was very patient (waiting almost 2months) . Now seller just reads my messages does not respond and calls go to voicemail. Think I have been ghosted, so here I am.

When he contacted me, I also got a lot of sob stories - but he did end up paying me the full amount eventually.
Definitely recommend no dealings with linsong in the future for anyone that comes across him either way, the half payments and constant excuses and now basically stealing is not worth your trouble.

Sorry this happened to you man, I'll be a bit more discerning about who I recommend in the future

Just my 2c - a recommendation is good but some form of security is still best.

I am confused, you say something here, but the feedback does not reflect that.

How can we rely on feedback, that does not reflect actual trading and now @veez007 is in this position?

Everyone understands that - Covid has been rough and affected pretty much everyone.

Why not just use a credit card/small loan to sort this out?

This is your last warning. It seems like you're treating other members like shit and this is the last straw. If you can't afford it, don't buy it.

There's more to follow on this, watch this space.

Well, the Announcements section, but still, watch it.

That deal was completed over a year ago, and prior to that all ratings had been positive. He had explained his situation to me and I took a bit of a chance when I sent over the phone to him as it sounded like he was having a difficult time. He paid me the half upfront, kept in contact with me, and when I requested the rest of the money he sent it straight away, no questions asked, no excuses. So when veez contacted me recently and asked for my opinion, I said that it was legit, because I had experienced no funny stuff.

But reading through veez' experience and seeing that the story tends to change a lot, along with having contacted linsong recently myself to try and sort it out, I thought maybe it would be better to change my stance and rather warn people after what I have seen with veez's deal. How does one go about deleting/altering a past feedback?

You need an admin/mod to delete the original rating - remember that it is a reflection of your deal with him & you can give plenty of detail in the comment section.
