As the title states, I took a HAF 922 and chopped it. The frame is complete, just need to finish the facia and work out what to do with the side panels.

Specs:

ASrock Z68M-ITX
Intel 2600k (its in the post)
Kingston 2x4gb DDR3-1600 (going to replace with a 16gb kit soon)
POV GTX580 vanilla model
A-open 750w modular psu
Antec Kuhler 620
Samsung 820 pro 256gb SSD

The case measures in at (W) 235 x (H) 270 x (D) 340. Not bad coming from the stock (W) 235 x (H) 560 x (D) 564!

oooo, the 2nd HAF 922 I have seen cut down for either mITX or mATX.

definitely looking good.
Kuga assuming you referring to sleeving and such, cause it ain't looking too bad.

what you planning for the sides? I would just take something like 1mm/2mm sheet metal and cut window in for that front.

back can just be solid or you can go and cut something like a shape/symbol in basic hole perforation.

Do your cable management properly!

Mr.Expert, what is wrong with it?

Thanks, I did this a long time ago. Did the final chop yesterday.

Going to use the stock sidepanels, have an idea for them. Just need to work out how they are going to fit.

going to fit? you referring to mounting to chassis?

if so, as I want to test with my case, is basically just mount it 'flush' on the side, using 4 (my choice would be socket cap screws) fasteners and drilling holes into the frame.

Yip, don't want to use screws. Got something else in mind. Just need to find it...

The front and top panel is 99% finished.

Still need to finish the chop on side panels, the metal is thick and my dremmel is not liking it!

Will post some complete pics sometime next week.

Sorry for the cell pic. The front is on, the top looks worse than what it is. Needs a little fiddle then it will sit flush.

eish, see you have it on a sale thread :(

think would be sad to see this little thing go

you still planning on finishing sides before/if you let it go?

Sale was canceled, the Mac I wanted was sold to someone else.

Case is done for now, Its hidden behind my new screen so you cant see it.

Got me a new LG IPS277. Very nice panel.
