Steve from Gamers Nexus is very cautious about when the new cards will drop and has said that Nvidia is under no threat from AMD, has a shit ton of cards they can’t sell and isn’t obliged to launch a new line so why would they?

I have to agree with you in some aspects - I think they will announce the 1180 but delivery will be Q1 2019.

Time for some major 1080 price cuts me thinks.

Meh, there were several reasons why some of us didn't think that there would be no new Nvidia cards this year:

• AMD has nothing to stick it to Nvidia
• GDDR 6 status was unknown and the mass production was estimated for enterprise use only
• Nvidia had a ton of left over cards from the 10 series which were being returned

We were wrong, which is cool. I don't mind. I just think Nvidia are dicks for the following reasons:

• They launched the 2080ti with the 2080 so that shows you how ready they were
• The prices are hugely inflated which shows that Nvidia is banking on early adopters and miners taking the early hit and this kills gamers hopes
• Nvidia are charging inflated prices because they can
• Hold onto your 1080ti boys and girls, the price of getting in the high end realm just got insane
• SLi looks to return in a new and better form...that means R60 000.00 just for two 2080ti's for your system.
