Hi

i had been looking for 1155 board for a very long time. finally thought i found one with Grizzle, went through purchased from him, he tells me the board needs a bios update coz he only tested with the 3rd gen 3220 i3 chip he had and did not have a sandy bridge to test. so i told him i have a sandy bridge chip. ill test and make sure board is working. next day i test with my sandy bridge and the board wont post. i contact him with video etc. he starts harping on the fact that i did not install a heatsink and that maybe somehow that compromised his board. i did not run the chip without heatsink for more than 15 secs. i have been doing that for years for testing to just see if the chip and board post. if they post then immediatly i switch off, install in case and add fan off course, note that the test is done on a naked bench.
After i informed him he goes on to say that the seller on carb he got it from guaranteed him it was 100% and that he will create a whatsapp group with himself , me and that seller for arbitration. i told him if he wants to keep the money he can keep it but i dont have time for this nonsense, but that i will defiantely give him a negative rating for this debacle. if he comes and collects his stuff and returns my money i will remove the negative rating.

BTW since then i have bought a 1155 new MB and tested his chip that he supplied me and it is Working but the board is still a dud.
My offer still stands for him to return my money and collect but i wont be going to him this time. i think i am being fair since he has lost me more money than i was willing to spend on that setup.

Well since [MENTION=22918]Grizzle[/MENTION] won't respond until he comes online one day, I'll be reversing the iTrader on [MENTION=40384]Dollos[/MENTION]' name. It's unfair that he has to walk around with it, IMO.

I am back. Was honestly not aware of this, I thought I were supposed to get email notification of any activity...

This story was blown out of proportion and Dollos please don't forget I asked you to test with a heatsink since your intention was to return the components. I asked that if you do indeed run more tests, please install the HSF. You couldn't comply with that request and instead started flaming how you've been in tech since Jan van Riebeeck se jare.
Irrelevant and evasive.

I said I could prove the order of components by creating a group with the sellers (I don't have their numbers anymore)
You said no thanks. I should decide if I want to reverse - I obviously didn't want to, but told him it is his volition. He went with parting words (didn't mention iTrader to me) that I it is fine, I can keep the money and I would get bad luck in whatever else mythical ways or direct threats... whatever he meant, I'm not scared. I know I am clean.
I requested to solve this amicably before running to Carb (he was in a self-induced rage) which he ended responding and next thing I know I have a negative iTrader.

I even kept the money for a few extra weeks after this dealing but I have spent it now - he also gave permission. So what now?

I know I am quite late to this thread but honestly, I wouldn't pay him money back for those components at this point because I don't have time and energy to deal with it and it was ultimately his decision to get the money which I left a period for.

Anyway, that is what I have to say. I don't have hard feelings against you Dollos but just feel you went the wrong way with this and you changed mind months later, which puts me in an unfair position.

OK so it seems this isn't as cut and dry as it seemed. @Grizzle how long after you sold the board to him did he come back saying it's faulty?

1. it was the next day i gave him the reply that the board is not working,
2. i never mentioned to him i was going to test without a heatsink, I had no intention of returning anything, because i wanted the board and i did not mind buying the cpu as a tag along .....
3. i still have the board and cpu in the same box he gave me, i still havent used it . he still has the option to come back and take it and refund my money...

BTW i dont rage because i bought a brand new board not even a week later.... i dont sweat the small stuff, and R900 is not a deal breaker for me.
i only voiced this on Carb so that another person doesnt get the same treatment from you.

months later he says when i contacted him the next day? WOW

Look toxxyc i dont really care of the outcome, he is lying
1. he says i did not contact him untill months later, then how did he negative rate me the next day after i gave him a negative rating?

those that have dealt with me in my short tenure on this forum can be asked if i did anything shady in my dealings with them.

besides just with the details he has posted and if you corroborate the post with my initial and latter then the holes in his story become quite unmistakable...

and grizzle way to go to reply after all these months and make me the bad guy...
