Dumb question perhaps but do the fans spin up and the LEDs come on?
Yeah. Updated this post with that info earlier. Right at the end, so easily missed. On a brighter note, I finally found a use for my PS4 Pro. But I already miss PC gaming.. gna need to sort this out soon.

My offer still stands I am available tomorrow morning before 11:30am , ...Burn that console traitor

Unless it's grouped under "everything is fine" I still don't see it.

By the way you mention re-installing drivers, is that just a simple clean install request through the Nvidia Installer itself or did you run DDU in safe mode? Maybe you should be treating this as a new install rather than a move.

Also that error, other installations are running. Make sure to not be connected to the net after removing your driver and reinstalling it. Only once the installation is done and successful can you re-connect to the net. You don't want Windows Update interfering with your driver install.

My update was made at the bottom of post with the photos.

Pretty sure this is a hardware issue. Could be the gpu as I need to rma it but wanted to give it a final test in my new setup. My soul is destroyed. Not doing anything else (for now) other than testing the gpu in another rig.

Oh! You said PSU instead of GPU hence I dismissed it and moved on.

It's not picked up within the BIOS. It has nothing to do with Windows or drivers.

Ok so I tested my GPU in a buddy's PC and it is detected there. We then removed my CPU cooler to check the if the CPU pins on the mobo are ok. Everything seems fine, we even checked the pins under a magnifying glass. Refitted the cooler, re-seated the GPU, booted up on my rig... and GPU still not detected.

Would you guys say it's safe to assume there is a possible issue with the mobo? I can't think of anything else. I bought everything from Wootware earlier this year, the stuff is all only a few months young: Mobo, CPU and GPU.

My advice and I would say this is a last resort.

Take the mobo out of the case and build like a "test bench" on your table. Perhaps with stock cpu cooler to save you some effort. If it doesn't detect then it's either cpu or mobo.

It could be that the mobo is shorting the pci-lanes against the chassis and in return the pci-lanes isn't functioning correctly.

Just my 2c and as mentioned, consider this as a last resort.

Goodluck, hope you find the issue.

Bru, just a quick silly question, maybe try your buddy's GPU in your setup ? Having tried your GPU in his and it works in my humble opinion points to the mobo having an issue. I kinda don't see the CPU being complicit, but I guess anything is possible.

You got us all wondering wot the hell is going on here so please do tell us what the issue was once sorted.

1) Swop GPU's inter system.
1.1) If your GPU works in another system thank the gods.
1.2) If another GPU does not work in your system then:
2) Either PSU or mobo has the issue.
2.1) Test with another PSU to eliminate as many possibilities.

Fox is helping me with a test bench this afternoon. Will update the outcome later.

The thing is I know I have to rma my Strix (bearing noise and DP ports not working) but I’m hoping I don’t need to rma my mobo and/or cpu as well. I’m currently embracing the fear of possibly not having a pc for a few weeks while I sort the warranties.

So some (good) weird shit has happened. I ran 2 FurMark stress tests on my Strix and it's now dead silent. No fan noise. I simply cannot reproduce the issue I was having before moving to my new case (Cooler Master MC500M). I can only assume the fan noise was coming from my H115i Pro because I replaced it with a new cooler for the Aura sync (Cooler Master 240L).

I'll test the H115i Pro fans before I put it up for sale (5 months old, warranty with RebelTech). I'll keep the Strix another day or 2 to test it properly, and if it's hundreds, I'll put it up for sale (5 months old, warranty with Wootware).
