Hi all,
So I've recently been noticing my gpu temperatures are getting a little higher and was wondering if any of you do your own maintenance on your cards, ie opening them up and cleaning them out. I've got a Nvidia Titan X so it is an old card with a blow-through style cooler, and I can see dust build up on the heat sink. Is it just a matter of taking the top cover off and cleaning the heat sink or would it be better to replace the thermal pads/paste as well?

Clean, paste & pads. Full disassembly.

You can wash the heatsink in soap and water if it is really grimey.

EDIT: If you do replace pads, make sure you get the correct ones as it could cause issues if the offset is different from original.

I do clean my cards, they never really get that dusty. I rate replacing thermal pads and paste will improve your temps on the card.

Ok thanks, any recommendations for where I can get good quality pads?
