1) Get training by a pro early on, before you get a bad habit and eventually have to try and correct it later on.
2) Don't just stick to the driving range, it gets boring. Book 9 holes during quiet times and go play the game.
3) If you are struggling on a hole and you are on 8 shots no where near the green, pick up and try on the next hole. The frustration sukkeling on a hole will mess you up on the hole after.
4) Walk the course in the beginning, don't ride. Gives you time to relax between shots and think about what you want to do next.
5) Get a caddy or a spotter. Will waste a lot less time looking for balls in the rough , adding to your frustration.
