Helloo peeps!

Wanted to hear your guys thoughts on the gigabyte Rx580 8gig vs the powercolor red devil rx 580 8gig?

I have a choice of one of the two gpus... Stuck between the two 🤔🤔 any advise would be appreciated!

From my personal experience

Gigabyte AMD GPUs are generally made of lower quality materials/components, inadequate thermal solution/HS and usually have performance issues over other brands such as Sapphire,MSI etc.

If the Gigabyte has over a year warranty go for it otherwise take the Red Devil. But if you are fixed on getting an RX580, seriously wait a bit, have a look around and get either a ROG Strix RX580, Nitro+ RX580, or a MSI Gaming X RX580 as these are one of the best premium high quality RX580s you can get.

PS. The HS cooler on the RX580 Strix is the same one as on the Strix 1080Ti.

red devil is the best im running 2 of them in crossover neva had any problems.

I have RX480 red devil. Happy :) prices are so low now. I would say get 1070ti if you have the budget extra R2k though

What do you plan on playing ?

How are prices low when the rand is shit?

I had an AMD PowerColor 7950 and liked it.
I sold it and the buyer came back asking if there was a 3 year warranty has it had VRAM issues.

It only had a 2 year warranty, which had expired shortly before the issues.

I sold a Gigabyte 1070 and it’s still going strong.

That’s a very small sample base of 2, so don’t take it as an indication of either brands reliability.

When someone says “omg they are the best mine has lasted a year with no problem”, that’s a sample base of 1. Not 1000 or 10 000.

The only reason I would get Gigabyte is that it’s got a larger number of distributors so you can have it swapped out far easier.

I agree that it is a small sample. Just wanted to hear peoples views though.
I appreciate the feedback though guys.
Will use whatever until it dies :p
