@affxct that dude must have some really fast fingers, considering it was then sold in less than a minute and the Feedback rating was done BEFORE this thread was even created?

Oh no, that feedback was for the 3070 I sold him when the 3090 trade fell through. Courier was booked before I had to cancel on the 3090 and he wanted my 3070 as a replacement card anyway so I went through with it.

If you’re asking whether he knew about the thread before it was posted publicly - yeah I informed him and a few others I was going to be listing my card in case anyone wanted to put dibs on it. If you’d like me to remove the post from carb I wouldn’t mind, but the deal hasn’t been concluded between us yet.

Yes, that's correct. As long as the thread is in place before the deal is struck, you can do the rating for it.

Whats the point of listing something for sale if the general public/forum user cant buy it? I don't get it? Is it to score feedback or what is the deal here? Can someone please explain this to me. or dm me.

I have 146 feedback ratings with numerous R10000+ dealings. There is literally no reason for me to try to ‘score’ feedback.

I haven’t been EFT’d yet because I specified that this deal wouldn’t occur till tomorrow by the absolute earliest - so technically this isn’t sold yet and, @ScatterPolice could cancel anytime because his friend may decide on taking something else he sees available.

Above all else the reasons for this thread are:
A - So that the buyer knows I’m unlikely to take the R13000 and run.
B - The deal might fall through and I’d like other potential buyers to see this.
C - To add to the list of fairly priced cards in hopes of discouraging blatant scalping.

A - erm no - You know the buyer personally since you gave him a headsup before the thread was posted.
B - if your friend does not buy it behind closed doors then by all means post your for sale thread.
C - yeh but that doesn't help because the card isn't for sale to us ( the normal forum user)

I know the buyer from 5 days ago (he doesn’t know me from a brick in the wall), and by that logic I’m offering this card to him at something of a generous price.

Wouldn’t it have made more sense for me to attempt to conclude with him and if that fell through, to simply post it up here/on Gumtree/on FB at R14000? I literally don’t get why you’re trying to cause a ruckus.

You are correct though - this card isn’t for sale to you. It’s for sale to literally everyone else.

Posting a sale thread and doing feedback ratings takes effort and time, and as the seller I see the R13000 first so there is almost no risk to me. I would’ve much rather just concluded the deal and sent the card off as is, but that robs my buyer of all peace of mind and means that I have one else in line if it were to fall through.

Just report him for negative interference in a sale thread.

All i'm saying is dont list items that is not for sale to the general forum user.
You are wasting our time by sifting through for sale threads that is not actually for sale to us but to someone that called dibs before the for sale thread was listed.

It’s alright. He’s probably frustrated because not many cards pop up these days and many 3060s have been listed at R15k+.

The simple issue in this is that you believe the card has already been sold when I explicitly said it hasn’t. The price also would apply to anyone who was in line if the sale fell through.

I just struggle to understand why you find this so hard to believe. If the card had been paid for this sale thread likely wouldn’t have been posted. But even then, the buyer would have to trust me and take my word for it.

As previously established, @ScatterPolice and I interacted for the very first time on Wednesday night and only properly discussed anything on Thursday - so he has no reason to inherently trust me.
 
Im sure theres 100 people before me but dibs should none of the other deals materialize.
 
Unfortunately, the card I was supposed to be replacing this with ended up being incorrect due to a few unfortunate circumstances, as such I need to call off the sale @ScatterPolice will be refunded and I'm sorry to @MurieFury @MHBGT and @K20DADA for the inconvenience. I really couldn't have predicted this one and have since been refunded for the GPU that I purchased.
 
It’s one of those days again. Seems like a close friend of mine has possibly come to the rescue on this one. 3060 is up again and I’ll go in order of who was in line.

There is a slight line for it right now but 100%. Just confirming with the current buyer but will update the thread as things progress.
