Hey, guys

Gigabyte sent me this board to check out and, good lord, it's the finest piece of tech I've seen in MANY a year, if ever.
A lot of thought, care and design choices went into it, as well as jam packing it with awesome features.

Check out the build I did to honour this piece of technical artistry.

It's a corsair H150i Capellix.

More of a metals and gold kinda guy. I like the gold accents on the proart X870E.

Edit: I see that there is no real wood in this Gigabyte X870E mainboard. It's just plastic/synthetics/laminates. Really lame of them. Those will just absorb heat and radiate it, so you will need good fans in your case.

I would have preferred if they used Rosewood/Imbuia/Stinkwood to make the wooden aesthetics and sold it for a slightly higher price.

Yeah, I do love that as well.
That proart board is also super sexy - but very busy.
For me, the Aero is just unmatched in terms of aesthetic.

If you ever want to go custom I imagine there are a few folk here that either do annodizing or know someone who does. @L0n3ly_A55 might know someone. With proper aluminium panels to work with the results can be amazing. Caustic Customs way back overseas did amazing custom work like this marker body:

Wow! Awesome video again! That MB is great. Maybe if I start watering my Eagle MB it will grow up into one of those!

I actually looked around for guys to do anodising not too long ago. Not hard anodise but the type that @TheJudge has up there. Pretty damn difficult. I would have thought that a mag repair place would do it but I didnt have luck.

As an appie we messed around with food colouring and some power to anodise some shot glasses that we made. We came right but I cannot remember the exact method.

I originally wanted to import these, but they were quite pricey after import duties etc.

@L0n3ly_A55 was assisting me with potentially laser cutting our own, but time was not on my side.


I then wanted to have a piece of mahogony laser cut using an STL file of the Corsair Capellix for a real wood finish, but again, no time as the AIO was a last minute change
(I might still get this done)

I reckon full brown and beige noctua case fans would be too garish.

The lekker thing is that because there is nothing to distract your eyes ,colour wise, with the build I think that the beige and wood is subtle enough not to look out. So your eyes actually look at the build as a whole.

Brushed stainless would have MAYBE also worked, but it might be a bit too bling.

I was originally going to get this version of the board:

And build it into a white case, but brushed steel and this... so much wow.
