Hey fellow nutters,

I want to squeeze more juice out of my 1070 ti.
Anyone with exp or numbers on this?
Don't expect massive increases but cost / performance upgrade (5700 xt / 2070) doesn't seem worth it so if I can up the performance a bit it'll be lekker soos 'n cracker.

Thanks

It depends on the RAM type and the quality of the GPU die.

My 1070 is a terrible overclocker but you can still get some out of it. The core holds back the RAM so badly.

You’ll need to try overclock your own card as each is unique.

Download MSI Afterburner and increase the clocks a little at a time until shit starts to freeze.

Jip, I did some gpu oc back in the day, but since haven't bothered.
Now that I have a 144hz screen, dem low hz hurts.
I don't have a oc board, so ram is limited to 2666 (3200 actual) as far as I know?

I'll tinker a bit later, just thought someone around here in his cave might have some exp.

Is there really a massive difference between the msi app and the gigabyte app?
I only used msi back in the day on my mining, but my (app) ocd will go nuts unless its really superior.

I've spent hours tweaking my 3770 non K to get the best performance out of it. I've downloaded tons of software and tried millions of settings because each setup is unique.

May I suggest trying all of the above for yourself as overclocking is highly subjective and you can't say X is better than Y because of the huge variance in variables?
You don't need to overclock RAM, just enable XMP.
