Massive fan of the franchise, so when I saw this, it pretty much forced me into subscribing to the game pass for pc.

Still will probably land up buying it on steam, but still for those that care for the multiplayer test weekends:

"The tech test for Gears 5 will be made available for both players on Xbox One and PC, and will carry the same requirements. For both platforms, it will be made available to all Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, as well as subscribers of Xbox Game Pass for console or PC.

Maybe the Steam version's download compression ain' that great. I downloaded from the Windows Store. Playing on the game pass. The game is ok. Not great really. 6/10 for me so far. Defs not worth a buy in my opinion.

The game pass ultimate is on promo for R15.99 for a month. That's what I got to play Gears. Glad I did that instead of buying the game. I would not have been happy had I purchased the game. It's just not for me. I'll try and force myself through it to see if it gets better but after 3 hours of play and all the hype around it I am not impressed

Well game almost downloaded from MS Store and I have a 3 month Xbox game pass which I got when I purchased the 3900X processor so I'm pretty happy at present.
