Gaming on a UPS?

so I got myself a 3KVA 24v Hybrid solar inverter with 2x 200ah batteries.

I tested it out yesterday with the system I mentioned in an earlier post. I tested it for 5hours and 45mins and it only dropped by 10% still had 90% power left. This was after hours of gaming on the 3090, basic web browsing and youtube, and a bit of work which comprised of some Maya with 3d rendering in Redshift and a bit of Unity.

Oh and the 200ah batteries are gel batteries.

If your PC is only drawing 600w maximum (that's 600w an hour), your PC alone would run for just under 2 hours.
Just for the sake of completeness you should factor in the Peukert's law since we are talking about lead acid batteries.
In short as the discharge rate of the battery increases the available capacity decreases.

Honest battery manufacturers will quote a 10 hour discharge rate for their rated capacity, meaning if you had a new battery and where to discharge the battery over 10 hours you would get the amount of Amp hours on the sticker.
Less honest manufactures will use a higher hour discharge rate for their labels, and its up to you the consumer to be on the lookout for that, some manufacturers would even go as far as quoting a 100 hour discharge rate for capacity! Which is just crazy.

Here is a battery that is a known offender, its quite popular and most people buying it would think : Hey I just bought a 180Ah battery (Because that is what the sticker says) except once you pull up the data sheet it says its 10 hour rate is only 150Ah
and then you can see if you discharge it over 3 hours it drops to 119Ah or if you discharge it over 1 hour only 96.2Ah

batteries in series does not double amp rating (2 x 12 v = 24v amps stay at 100AH)

Mecer axpert 300w is a 24v system

That kit is 2x100ah 12V batteries, so 200ah at 12v total, which is 2400wh (200 x 12)

edit sorry i missed the corrections in earlier posting

BTW you can buy a reasonable priced non inverter generator that can power a ups or a inverter.

The trade power gennies cannot.

eg the 6900k ryobi unit can be adjusted to provide close to 50 hz. This will then run a microwave.

Recommended

ideally you want a inverter gennie to power computers.

UPS info.

It is incorrect to state that a UPS cannot/is not meant to power a device for a long period of time.

The cheaper chinese ones cannot (that is correct).

There are many 3000 va UPS that can stack battery banks to give long run times (greater than 3 hours). They have fans to cool the inverters.

There are locally assembled units that are much cheaper and reasonable quality.

APC

This unit can take 10 battery packs.

if you are bored
