Hi there

I currently have a razer viper ultimate but I got a R250 voucher from takealot so was thinking of getting a backup mouse or maybe one I can use at the office or so. So any suggestions doesn't have to be wireless. I was thinking maybe the g305 so I don't want to over spend on a mouse just something I can use every now and then. I play mostly FPS games like Modern Warfare/Warzone.

If I'm not getting a mouse I don't know what else to get and the Voucher expires tomorrow.

I'm also looking at the deathadder v2 for R999 -R250 = R749

Disregard all advice from @superrob - doesn't know a mouse from a rat.

and

This is where I would start looking for best gaming mice. In terms of price, don't just look at the Starlights and be discouraged, there are a lot of decent budget mice on that list.

I'm using a Cooler Master MM711 (the RGB variant of the MM710) and it's really good. It feels nice in the hand, the weight is awesome, the cable is barely perceptible, and I feel like my aim improved with it - but it developed a very slight pre-click issue which is noticeable while working (not gaming). So QC isn't perfect on it. The MM710 goes for R 876 on Takealot: takealot.com

SteelSeries Rival 3 wired or wireless. Good very light mouse, in my opinion.

Using this currently, and have found it a pleasure to use.

Very good value for money mouse, G102 Prodigy - safe, good sensor, nothing bad. It's what I tell parents to get for their kids.
Good recommendation, it's also on RocketJumpNinja's top mice list. At that price it is in the same price territory as the super-cheapy Marvos and Regragons and the like, so basically a no-brainer.

nah the g102 is not my style. I'm looking for something a bit better. The deathadder doesn't look that bad from all the reviews.

Never mind I can get the deathadder v2 cheaper from amazon

I've had the original deathadder for 6 years now, it's been treating me so well I don't even want any of these new fancy mice. Super comfy and durable

Agreed have the rival 3 wireless, slightly heavy but love the shape and Bluetooth function
