Game of Thrones Season 8

If you can, try remember back to season 1/2/3/4/5 and compare the 'padding'. That's what game of thrones is. If they were to carry on the legacy of game of thrones then they definitely needed a shit load more padding.

I'm not talking about exposition and character/plot development, I'm talking about actual padding. Like watching Arya for 15 minutes not do much of anything (after having previously kicked ass).

Going by the books the first 5 season have NO padding whatsover, they move by leaps and bounds, except for of course all the additional sex scenes.

Well I mean that is character development in a sense and like...if any book had padding, it'd be a blank page really. There's a reason why motion picture used silence and different shots that books don't have to worry about.

Book : She felt anguished.
Motion picture: Long scene of actor in silence blah blah blah. Showing facial expressions and that.

That's what it seems to me atleast.

True, but we kinda get the idea after 30 seconds, no need for 30 times that.

I call it padding if it represents a significant chunk of the episode without actually contributing to the progression of the episode or the overarching plot.

Either way these basterds are butchering the series and I cannot wait to finish it and be done with it. Instead of saying "Awww, it's over" it'll be "Yay, they aren't able to fuck it up any longer"

Agreed.
And then the long wait for Winds of Winter starts.
And the the even much much much much longer wait for Dream of Spring.

Well luckily you know it's worth waiting for. We waited forever for Season 8 of this and all for naught. Books I'd wait forever for.

I suppose that's where I differ. I didn't care about the series whilst everyone was hyping it. Tried the first ep and was confused as fuck, didn't like anyone or understand anyone's motivation and decided to drop it. Then I decided to give it a second chance with the books and suddenly it all made sense. Read through the 5 books but with the final season around the corner I started getting a bit antsy and decided to watch the series so I could be part of the conversation and have some idea how the story might continue. I only waited maybe a month. So the blow has been nowhere near as severe to me as likely most others in this thread and the net as a whole.

Bit of a lol. Not that it's going to make a difference. Just over 500k signatures now

Gotta say I'm loving this universal outrage. Far too often I'm left by myself in my dislike of something.

I guess we aren't the only ones disappointing by this season

Not gona elaborate too much but fuck this season is dissapointing! I'm literally speechless!

2 years wait and you get this shit!

8 years wait to kill the night king and Cersei but Little Finger's death was more satisfying....

Cersei deserved to have a far more cruel ending ...

They should have just had 1 full episode dedicated to tearing that woman limb from limb - the peasants of kings landing had a far more cruel ending than Cersei did

Lol. That petition has passed a mil. Awesome stuff.
Soon the suffering finally ends and we can go back to quietly waiting for the books.

The lead up to it was sometimes dismal and suffered from some terrible writing/direction (Episode 3 and 4) but the last episode was satisfying.

Last episode was better than expected.

Well to be honest I was expecting this episode to be equivalent to a PHAT shit on the floor.

They surprised me when they rather provided a shit served on a gold plate in a fancy restaurant.

Once you serve a shit ( season 8, ep1-5) anything that follows will always taste shit. Episode 6

I rate this episode 5shits out of 10 :poop::poop::poop::poop::poop:

Cheers have a shitty day :poop:

Well I'm still slightly confused about one of the conclusions but oh well. That one could have definitely been done better even with a similar result.

That wasn't all that satisfying. But not because of who the characters were, I can see things playing out that way, but because of who the actors are. That face in that position does not sit well at all with me although I can live with the name.

Safe to talk about the last one? You're an idiot if you follow this thread and check it before you watched the last episode? @ViVception

this last season of GOT was actually terrible - the last episode was totally messed up ..... the entire season did realistically nothing at all and had no real direction even at the end

If you have to post spoilers then use the spoiler tag :p Although I think most people probably watched it last night.

WHAT THE FUCK WAS THE POINT OF THIS SEASON?

Bran being the 3 eyed raven - Means shit.
John being Aegon Targaryen - Means shit.
John being raised in the north where incest isn't a thing - Means shit.
Arya having super cool stealth powers - Means shit.
Samwel Tartly suggesting a democracy - :ROFLMAO: 😂

So many social agendas pushed through it's sad AF.

One of the most defining things of my early adult life in pop culture and they fucked it up completely. Just lazy ass writing and I'm scared of what they gon do to their next project.

Only + side of the ep was :
John pat Ghost.

But yeah. Everything else meant shit. John is the so called "true King". And Bran as the "new king". like lol. I can just see "Sire , we need more grain". Bran : "Yes , you are exactly where you were meant to be".

Is that really the only dialogue he is capable of. lol

Watched all 6 eps last night while avoiding all spoilers for last few weeks, must say I'm left with mixed feelings and like most people in this thread, allot is negative.
But at least it's done now and I could have binged it all without spoilers ruining it for me, was still entertaining, sound, special effect etc.
Dragon might have woken up my neighbors a few times :ROFLMAO:

Lots of issues with the last episode...

Why would Grey Worm allow jon to live after he kills dany. No chance in hell. He has nothing left after that, he kills jon 1000%. Also no way Dorne & the Iron Island accept Sansa getting northern independence.
