Game of Thrones Season 8

Because they need a banshee to fight he golden company. Doesn't matter tho, she isn't in the crypt afaik.

No. She's supposed to be leading the Brotherhood in the riverlands. But since the Brotherhood is up at Winterfell including Beric who is meant to revive her that's not very likely to happen. (And it's been much longer since the Red Wedding than 3 days)

Aye I'm aware of that and they confirmed that they won't be bringing her back after the red wedding. I'm just thinking of how it could happen in the show's timeline. The show would probably be more than 10 seasons if they added all the missing bits like her and the Dorne plotline.

Just 10? It would be at least twice as long. Possibly longer.

I watched eps 3 last night and it was epic. It apparently broke twitter and has become the most tweeted TV episode in history. It was good, what are your thoughts?

For me the excessive motion blur, snow/fog and darkness ruined what could have been an amazing mini-movie.
Also, how the hell did <insert name> manage to <insert action> when <insert crazy circumstance>. SO many questions about that episode, but I'll wait a few days to keep this thread as spoiler free as possible.

It was good? I consider it to be the biggest waste of money ever spent on a TV episode.

The lack of strategy and planning was terrifying.

Though I suppose the problem was my expectations because that episode failed every single one of them.

I suppose it'll only release sometime in my 50s or 60s but my hype for a Dream of Spring has increased dramatically.

Ya I dont know hey.....

That misty stormy snowy fog shit was CGI'd all over the place making it easier for them to hide mistakes I suppose.

- Only secondary characters died.......

- The one and only Night kind ended so quick.

- Bran had NOTHING up his sleeve, how boring. ( I thought he would jump out his chair, yelling "Its a miracle, I can walk!" and KungFu fight the knight king for 7 min.

- Was waiting for john to get flamed by the dragon and just stand there and feel nothing (targarian fireproof)

- HOW DID ARYA GET TO THE NIGHT KING PASSED ALL THE WALKERS? huh huh huh tell me? huh

- Briene, jamie, podrick? standing at the end after all the walkers were dead. They were being rushed by thousands of these things yet they survive with their backs to the wall. Haibo

EDIT: - no weapons int he crypt???? LOL

Feels like their were so many holes.

The plan was for him to be the bait though? 10/10 mission success on his part

To be the bait but they didn't have an ambush setup. They had Theon and 5 other dudes protecting him. They had an army of Thousands outside the wall dying for no reason but they protect bran with 6x level 1 okes....

Jon was confirmed long ago not to be Tragaryen fire proof. He got burned taking out the first wight in the Lord Commander's tower (in the books too, spends all his time nursing his burned hand whilst with the Wildlings)

Ahhh yes correct, because he's a bastard halfling, muggle!

Well that one is interesting. Melisandre did specifically emphasize "blue eyes", furthering her prophecy from an earlier episode. Melisandre also quoted Syrio ("not today") which must have been the trigger for Arya. The red witch obviously has some serious skills being able to know that.

Anywho, Arya is an assassin and able to disguise herself pretty well. Maybe she wore some undead makeup -shrug-

Ye I was thinking that to, but then why didn't she do that earlier when she was hiding from the walkers. Duno it just seems like maybe they cut a lot of extra side scenes that should have been there

Arya watched Walking Dead and covered her with dead guts etc.

Blame Danny

John was telling her, The Night King is coming. The plan was 1) They must light the trenches and 2) They must engage with the Night King when he comes for Bran. She decided to intervene with the main army battle taking place in front of her. How couldn't she though? Seeing the Dothraki wiped out like that...

I'd assume too many different groups to co-ordinate, which is why Brienne led the one bunch, Grey Worm his bunch, etc. Without an overarching commander? Just try no to die

Yes, that battle plan was pure poo. But then, with what they were facing, there was no battle plan, just one big huge mega amazingly large, gargantuan gamble, orchestrated by multiple generations of wizards, sorcerers, prophets, seers and their allies with a bene gesserit breeding plan and a dose of luck, just hoping they were right enough to make THIS future come to pass.

So... in that framework, the battle-plan that sucked, was the plan. Just kinda sad, and necessary, that most everyone had to die to make one cocky bastard show himself. Literally the millions of undead's only weakness. Arrogance.

So die vraag is nog steeds.

"WAARS MY OLIFANTE !!!!"

Who was the battlefield commander? Sansa? So many bad decisions.

Aparently Bran was watching Endgame while sitting there.

Tossup between Jorah, Brienne and Lyanna.

I could say a lot more. But I feel that would get too spoilery (though does it matter at this point?)

Yes but who exactly sends the entire cavalry out into an unknown fight? You keep the majority of the cavalry back to come in and flank the enemy vanguard. Sure there may not have been a vanguard in this case but still.

Tactics 101

They should have kept Tywin around for this battle. The layout of the troops were wrong, nevermind the wasted cavalry and trebuchets.

Or well...a person on a dragon. Who can see the entire battlefield or any part of it they wish to in a matter of seconds.

And yes, you might say they had other jobs to do...but did they? Because they certainly didn't do them.
