Deal Thread URL:

[Sale] - Yama superchannel 1600w lw-1600pg power supply super channel | Power Supplies
[Sale] - YAMA SUPERCHANNEL 1600W LW-1600PG MODULAR PSU | Power Supplies

Seller: @BlackAdept
Buyer: @moforocker

Description of Bad Deal:

Ok I have been left no choice. After the description everyone can see I have been very patient and a very nice guy.

Bough 2 x 1600Watt PSU's from @BlackAdept on 2 separate occasions as per links for threads. The first one stopped working and was sent back to seller on the 15th Of May 2018 for a replacement as the
add stated 12 months warranty. After numerous watsapps and so on and being very nice I keep on asking for feedback and I get "let me find out", "waiting for supplier" etc. I even offered when seller
told me that supplier has no modular ones available that I will take a non-modular psu instead if it makes it easier, and to help seller to sort me out.

So sent back the other PSU 1.5 to 2 weeks ago and watsapped seller yesterday and got the reply "hi bud, let me find out and let you know" and still haven't had reply after that.

I have been very patient, and don't really like the bad deal way but it seems its the only way I can go. So I have 2 x PSU's not replaced under warranty and would either want a refund or the
items replaced ASAP. Sorry @BlackAdept but you left me no choice. I have to buy other psu's @ premium price just to carry on with my projects.

It has been 5 months for the first replacement and if it goes like this I might not even get one of them replaced before we reach 2019.

I have kept all the watsapps etc. and don't think the seller can argue that I have been very patient.

Again I say, I never became abusive or demanding and really did my part. Just very frustrated about warranty not honored and items not replaced yet.

I can not argue what buyer has said as indeed it has taken too long for the first PSU unit to be replaced and I have contacted supplier who has asked me to meet them on Monday morning at their offices, where with I will have a definitive feedback (either a refund or if I will be getting the replacement PSU units)

@moforocker I totally understand your frustration bud and my apologies for all the waiting

Seller has been in contact with me and sure all will work out. Will post update Monday afternoon

He was at supplier, said he will refund first one and replace second one. He did say will let me know everything before day end, waiting on confirmation,
will update accordingly.

He sent me watsapp stating he has the replacement psu and he is waiting on funds transfer for the refund of first unit so I will keep you posted. Thx

Ok, so I guess after the floodgates opened I am screwed out of my R5600 even if I would have gotten it not so sure anymore..........

Hey @moforocker,

The bank can freeze his account but if the funds aren't in it... You're going to be SOL.

I suggest you (in conjunction with anyone else who he owes money):

1. Go to your nearest SAPS and lodge a case of fraud (you MUST take a printed copy of the POP and it helps to take a draft version of your affidavit and any supporting material).
2. Phone your bank to lodge a case of fraud - they'll ask you for a copy of your affidavit (so you should take a pic of it while you're at the police station or get a copy) and the case number.
3. The bank will get in touch with his bank (Standard Bank) to freeze his account and contact him.
4. His bank will contact him to ask him to return the funds voluntarily, in which case you should have the option to drop the charge of fraud.
5. If he doesn't want to play ball, the bank will flag his information none of the banks will want to do business with him. Hopefully SAPS will do something but I wouldn't bet on it.

Note: Once you've lodged the case of fraud, the bank will look at his transactions and do a recon to see if they have any other reports of fraud against him - there will be an order in which people get their money back so nothing is guaranteed.

Edit: I am really impressed with Capitec's service - they're on the ball and they seem to take these things very seriously. There is also an EFT reversal fee of roughly R130 if you bank with Capitec and R300 if you bank with FNB.
