Frontosa - Corsair AX1200i warranty

I bought a Corsair AX1200i from a member here in Nov 2018. it worked great until the end of 2019 when it stopped working.

I contacted the original seller and did a warranty replacement via Loot.co.za. This process was a pain, it took forever, and they shipped it back to the original seller and not back to me like the said they would so i had to go pick it up form him.

The PSU has now stopped working again, but instead of going via the original seller and Loot.co.za, I tried to go to Frontosa directly, but they told me I had to log the return through Loot and that they don’t deal with the end consumer.

Is there no other way to sort this out without wasting my, or the sellers, time?
 
Your name, ID number and contact details will have to appear on their system for them to accept from you. I've done it for a few customers who requested.

Can it be anybody on their system or does is need to be the retailer that sold it?

The retailer that bought it from them (not necessarily the retailer that sold it to you - eg if I buy something from another reseller I can't even return it myself) needs to add you. You will then be able to return/collect RMAs and collect stock, so unless the retailer trusts you 100,000,000% they won't do it.
