Yes, FH5 is out now and our FH5 community is growing...

For what it's worth, only those who bought the Premium Edition or the Premium Add-Ons Bundle can play today. Everyone else, including those playing with Game Pass, have to wait until 9 Nov.
 
Yeah, I got the standard version on STEAM so I'm waiting till the 9th.

There is no option or ability on steam currently to get the premium packaged added.

Those of us that don't have issues. I can play for only a few minutes and then random crash to desktop without any error messages. Hopefully that will patch it soon.
 
I purchased premium and preloaded yesterday, woke up early this morning to maybe get a quick 30mins in before leaving for work, launch the game just after 6 and it starts unpacking. . . slower than it took to download the whole 100gb yesterday so I had to leave. Now I'm stuck at work just wanting to go home and play

Where is @Moemfie_ZA & sharing his journey of learning to drive?
 
So excited. Can't wait to give this a go. FH4 has honestly helped put my mind at ease on countless occasions, cannot wait to explore the world.

Age of Empires 4 is also great, given it a go a number of times online but goodness do you need to set aside a good amount of time if your opponent is on a similar skill level. Takes commitment but totally worth it! Even with high resource games.

Does it bother you how much slower the pace is compared to AOE3?
I can't accept it quite yet.

I believe you do get rewards for owning previous titles, the cover cars for each of the older games. I think this is only ms store though not steam because its linked to your xbox account
 
So i put around 15-20 hours over the weekend, left with just 1 festival to complete. Its a lot of fun I but there are some serious bugs (and browsing the forums it seems I'm not the only 1 experiencing them) that need patching asap

The most severe bug for me is the performance. Using a 3080 at 3440x1440p with everything besides motion blur maxed the game runs great for an undetermined amount of time, and then the performance just tanks. From smoothly running at 100fps theres quick 1 second drops to 70/60, even with gsync on these sudden drops causes bad stuttering. Eventually performance just tanks to 40-50fps overall. This can happen anytime. Busy with a 20min gauntlet in a s2 car? Fuck your performance. On your way to 3 star a drift zone? Get rekt.
The "solutions" for this is to play in solo mode (this kind of helps but not really) or exit game and launch again. This bug is inconsistent, happens sometimes after 1 hour, sometimes after 2, sometimes never.

Next up is the online mode. Without fail every 5 or so minutes you will lose connection to the session, this would be fine if the switch over to solo mode was seamless, but its not. Once you lose connection your car simply stops dead. Doesnt matter how fast you are going or what you're doing it just stops. This happened to me during trailblazers and drift zones, so obviously your result is affected. The servers were clearly not ready for early access.

Early access/vip rewards. I had no money boost and theres 1 player house thats supposed to be free, you go to it and get a message thats it free, but you cant unlock it without purchasing. Word on the forum is that the vip rewards will become available at launch on the 9th.

The pop in is real bad sometimes. The draw distance is great but small assets like grass and shrubs can pop out of nowhere. If you're flying like really fast its possible to go into an area like a second before these things load and then they just pop up. This is very noticeable if you're in an open field area.

Very enjoyable despite the bugs, I mean when the game works its great. I'm expecting a decent sized patch on launch day though, this game does need it

Having the exact same experience in regards to performance. Playing at 1440p 165hz, it appears to be a memory leak of sorts hence a reboot fixes it but im not sure.

Yeahp same here, and if you convoy with friends they intermittently disappear and reappear for random intervals, can be 2 seconds or 20 seconds. You still see them on the map but you don't see them anywhere in game which makes convoying with friends quite frustrating and pointless. Connecting to your friends as well can take up to 5 mins before you even appear on each others map/server.

If you`re playing with a wheel, it still doesn't feel as good as the controller unfortunately which is sad because wheel support for Forza Motorsport games are great. I am still messing around with the settings but out of the box it isn't great.

There is also a weird visual bug where there is horizontal scanning invisible lines that appear and disappear. The only fix is to disable SSAO at the moment however the game doesn't look as pretty without it. It is not too distracting as they are sort of "invisible" but once you see them you can never unsee it lol. Many people on the forums having this issue as well.

I`ve been having a lot of fun with the game regardless, I've put in around 15hrs this weekend and if they can sort out the above i am pretty happy.
