I don't know how reliable they are but they have a physical store and seem relatively legit. But yeah, if any of you 3080 Ti/3090/6900 XT owners want this to pair with your 5900/50X for those 3DMark numbers, then here it is. It should have the latest iteration of Gigabyte's daisy chain RAM topology as well, so theoretically this should be one of the best 4 DIMM boards for RAM OCing. Disclaimer: Newegg reviews don't look great. Seemingly 2/3 of the reviewers had their boards die on them :/.

XD really? I mean yeah I'm not gonna lie, the B550 Master reviews were also kinda sad to read.
I must also say I expected more from my 15k Aorus Xtreme.
Tempted to just build my pc over onto my B550 MSI Mag instead to see if that solves my OC limitations as CPU is performing around 70% as well as it should even when it hits 5.1 Ghz turbo using PBO. Still not sure if this is because of my ram though, but not able to push ram any higher than xmp so no idea really.

Even my gen4 980 pro nvme's only perform at about 50% performance.
Had to set them to raid in Windows to get the performance I should be getting from a single drive...
Also still no way to check nvme temps as HDD Sentinel etc doesn't pick up any drives, not even my main gen3 nvme.

If you can get a decent amount back for your board, then grab something like the Dark Hero. There’s literally nothing that board can’t do.

Definitely don’t get 550 haha. Those lane limitations actually influence a user such as yourself. They’re made for gamers on a budget XD

This one is on my bucket list sorta, main thing holding me back is having to almost entirely redo my neat cable management as the dark hero doesn't have those sexy horizontal connectors for usb3.0x2 and 24pin connectors.
Not to mention the hassle of draining and disassembling my hardline loop as well.

This board definitely isn't for everyone, but I can actually recommend it to you. It has the active OC switcher, it has a ludicrous VRM, you get the passive chipset, you get good RAM OCing, and you get all the PCIe lanes you could want.

B550 doesn't have enough nvme slots for me anyway :)

Oh crap... I see the issue haha. I probably also wouldn't be too keen if I was in your spot.

Well, technically there is the B550 Master. It is the best OCing board next to the new X570S lineup. You'd be able to run your one 4.0 drive and your two 3.0 drives without issue (theoretically).

Yea. It's basically suck it up and rebuild, or wait for zen4 or whatever AMD is bringing out next before I do a rebuild.

actually got 1x3.0 and 2x4.0 drives :p

For now I am just happy my pc works, albeit poorly compared to same spec setups (around 70-80% of the performance based on benchmarks), but at least it works, and I also barely tickle my resources while working/gaming now which is good.

I actually don't understand how your PC could be underperforming to that degree. Where do you see these sorts of performance metrics?

Oh shit it's the 980 Pro... Holy crap. You have two 980 Pro's XD. Yeah B550 is an absolute no-go for you then. No sense in dropping a 3090 down to PCIe 4.0 X8.
Lol I reckon even if I drop it, it would still perform the same as it's doing now 🤷‍♂️

It doesn't for a fuck want to go over 18500 no matter how I OC the CPU or GPU, even if I push it to the point of crashing.

Spotted it. Your XMP doesn't work. Your DIMMs are 2133 JEDEC effective. Your GPU is also averaging 1850 which is exceptionally low. That and your G6X isn't clocked high at all on your 3090. Biggest culprit is the RAM though.

I scored 19 434 in Time Spy

Before anyone tries to tell me I'm an idiot. Just take a look at the average clock and the DIMM frequencies on my score with my 3090. I would say, a BIOS update might do the trick, but otherwise, I'd chalk that board. I think your fans are just a bit too low RPM as your 3090 was running at 10-ish degrees higher than mine was on air. Other than that, you probably need to max out the BIOS power target (if it already is that would be odd).

Whats odd is that according to CPU-Z and HWInfo both have the ram UCLCK at 1600Mhz which should mean ram is running at 3200Mhz not so?

That's literally the weirdest thing I've ever seen. Yeah, it absolutely should mean that. You can check all my 3DMark runs, and sample runs from the top scores. Everyone's RAM appears at the proper OC frequency.

Average run has my gpu at 47 or so however, though lately my gpu temp has increased quite a bit in terms of max temp under long gaming runs.
Hitting 64.5c max in HWInfo, where normally it wouldn't go over 50c even after 4-5hrs.
Could also just be my bottom rad needs a good cleaning and that the dust filter isn't doing it's job.
Will maybe check it out over the weekend if I remember.

but yea, this is why I want someone who knows more than me about the whole memory OC thing to come fix my paperweight, but not everyone has 12 hours to spend on it, and I can't just go drop my pc off somewhere either for a day.
No car, and well kinda need it for work till I move my work shit over to my laptop that is now a placemat for my controllers :p

I'd be willing to come over sometime if you'd want me to. I kinda do have 12 hours. It would have to be a Saturday/Sunday sometime in this next university semester (unless it's recess).

My all means if you are willing to. Just let me know when
