Hey guys,

We moved into a new house with an existing fibre installation.

The previous owner took that little black box that receives fibre input and outputs RJ45. Is this called an LNB? Where the flip can I buy one?

Also, these buggers installed the fibre in the bloody kitchen, a high traffic area. I'm gonna have this moved. This part is just a rant.

Thank you, and goodbye.

Best bet is to sign up with an ISP and the infrastructure company (Metrofibre, Vumatel, etc.) will supply a new ONT (optical network terminator) which will allow you to plug in your router. They could also move your line, but that may cost.

If they took the ONT then you'll probably have to pay a new or higher setup fee of R1725 or so, instead of what some operators do is just charge a re-activation fee (pending the ONT being there etc).

Had the same issue. Moved in to a new place and told Vox that that little box was missing. They just replaced it without any issue

I am going to have to talk to you before the weekend is over, Frogfoot is coming on Monday to install the Fibre, and I assume the ONT.
