As per the title, are there any ISP's that offer 2 concurrent connections on Fibre (for data)?

I have my office(40Mbps) and home(100Mbps) which both have Fibre on Openserve infrastructure

Basically looking at getting 1 x 100Mbps uncapped account to use at both locations if possible.

If not - who is the cheapest for uncapped 100Mbps? - Openserve

Currently using 1 x Vox 400GB Fatpipe account at each location but the data usage has increased drastically and i'm looking at ways to save money

Uneducated guess:
I would assume no, because what would stop me and a friend from sharing an account then, 1x100Mbps package with manual speed restrictions to ensure we each get our own '50Mbps' is much cheaper than two independent 50Mbps packages. Additionally, the cost of the infrastructure, lines, etc, need to be covered if I'm not mistaken? The ISP has to still pay i.e. Openserve or Vumatel

Specifically recall many moons ago on a Webafrica ADSL package specific wording about 1x concurrent connection limit.

It is possible with some ISPs, but the bandwidth will be limited by the ISP to 50% at each location. May still be cheaper than 2 x 50mbps accounts, and puts everything one account.

I don't mind that as during working hours i'll be at the office and the household can definitely manage with 50Mbps. When i'm home, the office is closed so no usage apart from online daily backups (scheduled from 3am onwards)

The only ISP I've seen that does give you this option is VOX. You can get the 40Mbps uncapped DSL account and use it on 2 concurrent connections. I'm not sure if you can get the same deal with a 100mbps fiber account.

Showing under correction here as I read the t's & c's for wirulink a file ago, but if memory serves me right they offered up to 5 concurrent sessions on a line. You'd have to get in contact with them directly to confirm though

I am led to believe that this option is available on webafrica's fibre onco: Same as adsl it has to be a capped account but other than that not sure as there isn't much info. Phone them.

Depends on the fibre line provider. If you are on openserve you can use data only accounts then its possible.

Any other fibre line provider and don't believe its possible.

As per the OP it is Openserve - just looking for who allows 2 connections

Is possible on vox uncapped, but only 2 connections, with the same bandwidth splitting setup.
cheese, i have been selling fibre for Vox for the last 4 years or so, I think its possible to have the ont for Vumatel(multiple network ports on their Ethernet network) for example to allow for 2 subscriptions to be run so the client can have 2 100/200/1000Mbps connections coming into their home and then being split into separate routers., but to be honest we sell fibre as a full data and line solution so concurrent connections from multiple addresses with fibre lines would not be possible with one subscription fee.

That's why you never take a bundled deal. Get the fiber from ISPAfrika, and then a 100mbps uncapped from vox, which then allow 2 connections with bandwidth sharing.

From Vox FAQ:
Can I use my Uncapped account on more than one router?
Yes, but the speed of the service will be halved. E.g. if you use a 4Mbps service on two routers, each router will connect at 2Mbps.

How about the Vox 1TB vet pyp (fatpipe)? My Vox 300GB fatpipe worked on my xDSL connection and on two other Openserve fibre connections at the same time. This is purely as Vox is an IPC customer of openserve, so works on any access medium to customer premises. I doubt that this has changed and the package is limited to 4 concurrent connections.

I am not sure if any access medium constraints are placed on the uncapped packages, perhaps limited to specific DN, which is a regular telephone number on xDSL and a B-number on openserve fibre. Perhaps worth it to contact Vox with a query?
