pm me your address i work for an ISP, can at least look around at your options, even if we are too expensive for example :) i know Kempton park seems to be the next big area to be going live and some parts are already done.

Vumatel is going live very soon, already have my install booked, literally waiting for vuma to flip the switch. @Rivesh what area in Kempton are you in?

Which ISP?

I've booked 200mb, but I believe up to 1Gb is available.
Lekker. You’ll be pleased with the 200. Which ISP did you sign up with?

I haven’t seen home uncapped packages over 200MB. Cybersmart does offer 400MB but only in a few areas and those packages have a FUP.

A mate of mine has 1GB line at his office. It’s glorious, but it’s fucking expensive.

Cool Ideas, seems to be the best around from what I've read up and heard from friends with Fibre.

bro lives in Pomona and his complex has already started laying down fibre

yet I don't think fibre has even been put down in their street

yet looking at pricing it is almost the same as what he is currently paying for ADSL

Have a mate that lives in Birchleigh. Up to 200MB fibre in the area. Not active yet though. Looks like another 3 months or so before it goes live in Birchleigh.

Jy moet maar Randburg toe trek maat :p

@Rivesh Just wait for Vumatel to finish trenching. They have no FUP, and for ISP Coolideas seems to be the best out of the rest. I have never heard a single good thing about Wirulink. I am currently using WiFibre and they are pretty good wrt to ping and usage.

My fibre activation date seems to be 1 September, will revert once installed and online.

Do you know whats the best fibre network for high data usage and low ping? I plan to preorder soon...they are digging in my area.

It is my understanding that the FUP is determined by the ISP. But doesn't matter I am with Vumatel and Cool Ideas. They have no FUP at all, so you can download to your heart's content. Latency on BF1 servers between 2 and 5 ms. I usually have the best ping on the server. And sjoe, 1TB is a lot. That is equal to about 350 hours of 4K Netflix a month :)

We must be neighbors as that’s the same date I’ve been given [emoji16] Van Riebeeck Park?
