Hi guys,

Anyone who can help me (or know someone at OpenServe) to get connected?

Area is fully covered except 2 or 3 complexes in the area, mine being one of them. The trenching has already been done in my yard, with fiber connection up to my house as well (inside a "buddy box"). This was all done last year in October and I am still struggling to get a definitive answer from anyone as to when I can get connected. I will attach some photos of the 'buddy box' for reference.

This thing is next to my door inside of my yard. I am guessing someone just needs approval from the complex I live in, before they can connect us to the local exchange. Only 9 units in the complex with mine against the road, and I can organise the approval from body corporate right away, if I knew who to speak to

Below is the fiber coverage for OpenServe.

Anyone who can assist or refer me to someone? Pleeeeeaaaaaassse I am desperate! The ADSL in this area is killing me...

Normally you will organise with your chosen ISP to complete the installation into your house.

Im with openserve too. I had the same box outside my house. All I did was order a package with my ISP (Afrihost) and they organise with openserve to come and complete the installation into the household. Took about 2 weeks to be installed after I place the order with the ISP.

Hi, I have tried that with every OpenServe ISP I could find (Afrihost included) and everyone just tells me that it's not available in my area yet. I understand this, obviously because it shows light purple on the map, but my frustration is that the entire area is covered and not the complex I live in. This just indicates that they need approval or something like that from the complex to continue, but nobody can tell me who we should contact to provide this approval.

Honestly if I was you I'd sign up with the next closest address that allows you to. The line installers will call you when they arrive and you can just direct them back to your place. When I first got my fibre the installers arrived at the wrong address because my address was wrong on maps, do I just redirected them to my place. I'm sure once you up and running you can change your physical address onthe system.

And the nice thing is you only have to pay if you actually end up getting connected.

Haha that is not a bad idea! I got a contact off MBB forums which looks like he can organise something. If all else fails I will do that! ;)
