Far Cry 3 was pretty amazing. Vaas was one of the best villains in gaming. 4, 5 and New Dawn was garbage.

This game looks shit. Graphically. Maybe that's console capture or something in which case I guess we can let it slide, but it looks generic. Nothing exciting about the visuals at all.

That's to say nothing of the weapons, completely braindead AI or myriad others issues.

Hopefully it's not representative of the final product.

Which is why I skipped the other far cry games though, they all had this kind of generic feeling to them. Like they just mashed together a big open world shooter.

Tbh that footage already looks better than Far Cry 5, but it could very well be just another mediocre game just like 5 was.

I loved Far Cry 5, think it looks better than this. I didn't play New Dawn though so can't comment on that one.

New Dawn could have been Far Cry 5 DLC and you would not have been able to tell the difference.

I am really enjoying this game, been playing it for a while but the constant crashing is making me think twice. Also, I need to vandalise some billboards and I have no idea how to use the spray paint in free roam open world.

The spray paint is for customizing your weapons as far as i know..

Yea I've just blown up the billboard. Finished the first part of the story yesterday, now on to make some new friends.

It is very much a Far Cry game in every sense, but I'm enjoying it. With all the weapons and such available, you'd think gunpowder would be easier to find though.

Bit of a spoiler (not really), but after you finish the main story, they just make shit harder, and have you redo things you have already done...
Not even more difficult or anything... like 100% exactly the same way you have done it...

Also I still chuckle when your character comments on alarms that he can't shoot, then proceeds to blow them up with a rifle that is modded to increase damage while zooming in...

Right on the friends, but even with a job it's easy to clock 4-6 hours a night as I work from home.
Clocked 32 hours and 100% game completion... fuck them for wanting to make me recapture the same bases with the same useless enemies I can one shot over again...

I played for half an hour, but I will get back to it. I'm currently loving Alan Wake Remastered, I did like the game in the past but I like it even more now. It's a pretty epic way of telling a story!

Will probably dive back into this over the weekend when Alan is done.

I can see it's a pretty mediocre game, but currently I have nothing else in the pipe line so it must keep me afloat for a while. Looking forward to Forza Horizon 5

I like games where I can freeroam the shit out of it and can easily get sidetracked so I constantly find myself in areas I guess I shouldn't be in yet. I still try and explore and clear the place out just to turn around and find that the place is swarming again with enemy units.

Yea, in one mission I decided to hang back and take out the enemies, and ended up somehow killing an enemy just to have them respawn immediately... wasted about 5mins killing enemies like this before I realised they will stop spawning if I move on...

You walk up to them and press e, it comes on the screen when you get close to it.

I don't know if it is just because I'm still in the starting phase of the game, but the guns seem meh compared to FC5 and New Dawn.

it's a very different experience in terms of gunplay. I find I don't use my rocket thingy as often as I should. You do unlock more guns as you go though, so it gets better.

The guns are fairly boring...
Tbh a 1 star gun does about as much damage as a 4 star gun if your level is higher than the enemies, and both have to 2 shot enemies that are 2-3 levels higher...
But challenging the game is not...
Just slap on some soft and armor penetration defense and you are good for 90% of the enemies, except for explosions...

Because if so then I'm bad at the game (which wouldn't surprise me)
