Hi,

I need advice/guidance please

I have one broken fan and one very wobbly and noisy fan, going to go any moment.
Please guide me or tell me if anyone offers the service to replace these fans.
Or where I can source these fans?

Bought a complete PC here from a trusted reseller, unfortunately he is not replying back at present, might be away.
It was purchased June 2020.

For the record, I stay in Centurion and work in Sunninghill, Johannesburg

Many thanks
Gena

The short answer is yes, there are guys selling fans depending on the GPU fan specs (diameter, connector, mounting system). Its mostly pretty easy to do as the heatsink itself can generally stay in place. Only shitty ones I've experienced are the MSi ones where the fans are wired together through the fan shroud and the only way I could replace was to cut the wire and then solder them back together after, some have plugs for connecting each fan.

Is there anyone that can source me two fans please?

T128010SU 75 MM Gigabyte GTX 1060/1070/1080/G1 GPU Fan Replacement in tripple fan or two single fans

and is the gpu this one
because then its easy, simple triple fans setup remove shroud, unscrew the fan screws (3 each fan), and replace. very seamless fix if its this one.

but usually its best to also redo paste and pads when doing this and cleaning your fins, will help with your cooling and help with the life span of the entire unit again as the paste tends to get hard, and the pads get hard and cracking. (have done a few Gigabyte GPU's and Aorus GPU's now helping out some friends)

That is the GPU yes, just need to buy the fans somewhere but struggling to find it

sent you a pm bud
Sorry in advance for jumping on the thread, there may be a unit I can get however the seller has already said one fan is not spinning and the other two are wobbly. So I'm wondering if it's worth taking a risk, any help would be most appreciated
Thank you

howsit man, it could be positive or negative depending if the GPU is still solid otherwise, and asking price.
Usually the fans you can get locally (Gigabyte Fans 4 pin is bit more difficult to come by 75mm one's), but its a quick fix to do and then you have a good gpu working again.

FYI if this is a Gigabyte card it may seem that the fans do tend giving up ghost after 5 or so years...most cards I helped out on was GB...Asus was mostly negligence not just stop working states.

Delta 5 at Highlands shopping centre in Lyttelton, Centurion does repairs to all Consoles, PC’s and components, including GPU fans. Had quite a few replaced with them. They normally have stock on hand, or can get within a day or two. Awesome, awesome PC/CUD related shop. Been my go to guys for over 20 years.
