Wow, just wow!!! Kimi did an AMAZING job of defending, even with going wide on last lap. Max drove brilliantly to get from pit to 3rd, so kudos there too. I think Red Bull made a bit of a mistake putting Max on the softs at the end, though. Bit of useless info, only two drivers (so far) have come second from pit lane, Alain Prost and Nigel Mansell.
 
Ha..........must suck if you win a race but the crowd cheers the guy in P3.
Seems no matter where Max goes, the fans chant the Tu Tu Du Du .......

Points taken off Max by Merc.

China - George P3 , Max P4 - 3 points
Miami - George P3 , Max P4 - 3 points
Canada - George P1, Max P2 - 8 points
Austria - DNF caused by Kimi - could have been at P6 or P5 - 10 points
Singapore - George P1 , Max P2 - 8 points
Brazil : Kimi P2 , Max P3 = 3 points

Total lost to Merc : 35 points.

Even if Max finished ahead of Kimi and George in those races, he will still have quite a gap to Norris.

I think my hopeium had depleted for Max. That gap is too big now.

My only hope now is that Oscar can get his act together and give us a good fight in the last 3 rounds but something tells me that isn't going to happen.

Don't think Oscar will catch Norris.....unless Max plays king maker and DNF Lando some how.

Or Oscar payback and 2x DNF Lando. :)
 
Major 2012 vibes this year. Max is by far the best driver on the grid and has taken his shitbox pretty close to a world championship.

I'm going to call it now. Norris is going to pull a Button-esque move by taking a world championship thanks to a good car and then never get another. Quote this if McLaren are fighting for 3rd in the constructors next year.

This worries me because I remember his first. Age is creeping up.

Most "most" stats nowadays are a reflection of this. Someone said the other day Lando is the first driver ever to win his first 11 races at 11 different circuits, which sounds impressive until you realise for much of F1 history there weren't even 11 circuits on the calendar.
