F1 2025

If McLaren stay this dominant Oscar wins the championship he’s starting to be a lot more consistent and making less mistakes and that’s something I can get behind!

Hopefully it was just a off weekend for Redbull because they need to be up front fighting with McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari but I think their car will be very track specific until they clamp down on the flexi wings but both cars scoring points is good for the team.

Kimi is starting to live up to his name it is so entertaining watching him race! Similar to how Max was in the start of his career minus all the crashes and being in a much more competitive car.

Hi all.

Does anyone have an F1 TV subscription and a open slot?
Then we split the payment.

DSTV now is kak.
I see it needs to be F1 TV Premium subscription to do watch live on 6 devices simultaneously.

Pop me a pm if anyone is down to split.

Edit : Also want to watch in 4k.

Hi @Chris_auc U het my antwoord misverstaan.. My Pro subscription het nie die 4K opsie nie, dit is die probleem, net die nuwe Premium opsie het 4K, nie hoeveel devices saam can connecteer nie. Ek vra om verskoning vir die misverstand

Just painful not seeing Max at the front fighting with the rest. The whole race he was in the mix with Haas and Alpine. .......eish. Did not think he will over take Gasly, but then on the last lap he did.

Hope this weekend RBR are back on form with a somewhat competitive car.

Looking at the drivers standing..............imagine we al think its a 3 way fight between Max , Lando and Oscar only to see Russell take it.

How does Norris only get a 5 sec penalty for a false start!
He was clearly over the line and he ended up in 3rd after the first corner.
How is that fair!
At the very least he should have to give up the places he made up off the start, as his start was not legal!
I'm shocked that no-one has made a big deal out of this.

Basically rewarded for breaking a core rule.
Imagine in a 100 metre athletics sprint, if a sprinter was over the white line. He would get disqualified
That 5 sec penalty was an absolute joke.

True.

There was also that issue with Tsunoda, how come he didn't get a penalty for that damage on Sainz, which caused a retirement. Then Sainz gets a penalty, which he can't serve due to retirement, then FIA retracts the penalty. Talk about a shit show.

Verstappen ready to deal with Mercedes: the clause that could trigger with Max 4th during the summer break:
—Tension is rising around Max Verstappen’s Red Bull future, with his entourage reportedly preparing to engage Mercedes if a key performance clause is triggered this summer.
—The clause in Verstappen’s contract allows for a 2026 exit if he is not at least 3rd in the championship by the summer break. With his current position under threat from George Russell, the condition could soon be met.
—According to F1-Insider, journalist Ralf Bach claims the Verstappen camp is ready for talks, but insists Mercedes must make the first move.
“We have learned that the ‘Verstappen clan’ is ready to deal with Mercedes. There is only one condition: Mercedes will have to take the first step.”
—This comes after a rocky Bahrain weekend and a reported moment of tension between Verstappen’s manager Raymond Vermeulen and Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko, fueling speculation of a potential split.
—Previously, Verstappen’s exit was tied to Marko’s future at the team, but with that clause neutralized after Marko’s renewal, the only remaining out is tied to championship position.
—The BBC has suggested a potential driver swap could be on the table, with George Russell emerging as Red Bull’s first choice should Verstappen decide to walk away.

Apparently there was also a heated discussion between Max's manager Vermeulen and Marko.

Toto always made it clear he wanted Max, but now that Kimi has joined the team, and Russell is performing well, doubt he will risk messing with the dynamics of the team.

Ferrari is basically a none option, they invested heavily in Lulu and Charles is part of Ferrari by now. No way Zack will let one of his drivers go to make a place for Max. So the only real option is AMR.

Doubt that Max will exit RBR till at least end of 2026. No one knows the pecking order under the new regulations.

I could definitely see an Aston move for 2027 if he is still in F1.

I can't imagine Toto passing up a chance for Max. He's not going to let him slip through his fingers again.

I think where Max races will depend entirely on Max and his management team. I highly doubt any team would not move heaven and earth to get him in, contracts be damned.

But yeah, moving before seeing how things shake out next year would be quite bold.

This is very true. Of all the teams, Merc & AM are the most likely, but when you consider that AM have also recently had financial issues, and Stroll threw more money at the problem, one wonders how long he can continue dishing out money, and whether this money is going to give results. I mean look at what happened with Toyota, they threw about $450m per year at F1 from 2002-2009, without wining a single race, and bailing when their parent company made a loss. So could the same happen to AM? Who knows. On the plus side, Honda does have wins, and Championships, and there is the genius that is Adrian Newey, and a new wind tunnel, etc. They scored 94 points last year.

Mercedes has a history of wins and championships, so it is already leaps and bounds ahead of AM. They are consistently at the sharp end. I mean since they returned as a constructor in 2010, the lowest they have finished is 5th in 2012, 4th in 2010, 2011 & 2024, 3rd in 2022. Prior to this, they have been really successful as an engine manufacturer. They have struggled in the ground effects era, but with the talk of going back to the V10's, you cannot rule out their dominance again.

So as you say, Max may sit on the side lines for next year to see where the cards fall. Its no doubt that AM will probably throw a massive offer Max's way, possibly along the lines of Newey's. If Max had to make a choice right now, it would be more than likely that he would go to Mercedes, as he has the best chance of winning there. Max doesn't strike me as the type that needs to spend a season at the iconic Ferrari, he just wants to win, and to do that, he needs the best or second best car, 4th best doesn't cut it.

I know it's not quite F1 but damn, I think 16 year old Freddie Slater is an exciting talent.

Won OKJ Karting like Lando and George, and the Ginetta Junior championship in 2023.
Double F4 UAE and Italian F4 champion in 2024 (with a narrow 2nd in Euro 4, almost the first driver ever to win all 3 in one year)
2nd in Formula Regional Middle East this year and almost won on his Formula 3 debut in Bahrain.

Will be interesting to see how he can catch up to the leaders in F3 this year and if he gets the nod for F2 next year.

Same shit happened last year , lando fumbled the bag early in the season , this kid needs a proper klap man 🙄
He also needs to drop the underdog act. Doesn't suit him anymore not that he's championship leader...

Hope red-bull get's their shit together and we get a good battle this year.

What time today?

Max to Merc.......no go. Toto is happy with George and Kimi.

So during the analysis, Pando Porris didn't hug the inside corner, and was off the white line carrying too much speed, that sent him wide, where he snapped and turned it into a three wheeler.
