It's an extremely light penalty. They've basically paved the way for 2023 - Season of the Overspend.

Financial penalty is irrelevant, that's one phone call to a sponsor.

Aero penalty is the only one that will have any kind of sting, but aerodynamically they're so far ahead of everyone else already that they can eat that without too much of an issue. It may have an effect for the following season, with their already-reduced CFD time plus the penalty. But as far as penalties for breaking the rules go, it's not much incentive not to.

Max is a doos, he showed that this weekend. He's brilliant, but a doos.

The Merc enthusiasm is expected, they've had such a kak year and finally had an excellent result. A 1-2 and Russell getting his first win. Just fantastic. Especially when you consider they were 1.5s off the pace at one point and this weekend they were dominant. Hoping it wasn't just a fluke for this race, though I don't think Abu Dhabi will be kind to them.

As for the rivalry, I think it will heat up, Lewis won't just roll over if he has a chance at another championship. George is no slouch though, he's been great this year and he's hungry for a title, I don't see him deferring to the old-timer.

I was on Max's camera the last few corners and hearing GP asking him to let Checo pass and he just deliberately ignoring it... man I felt so embarrassed to say the least. It's a slap in the face to anyone looking up to him. F1 is a fucking TEAM SPORT, he would be nowhere if it's not for the 300+ staff looking after him!

I am very disappointed in him, Yes checo let him pass, yes max would have done it anyway , yes max pulled away from checo after the pass by few seconds.

I don't understand the reason he did not give it back , he said on the radio we already talked about this i have my reasons...

I just hopes he redeems himself at abu-dabi and crash into leclerc then as thats the only way yo secure Perez P2 in championship

LOL Mercedes for the past 7 years have protected Hamilton every time, they didnt need to team order over the radio, but Botha's knew he could never race him...
