Where can I get some paints and tools to start this hobby? If I had a good idea of what I needed then I would maybe get this :D

This is super cool. Remember playing the game when I was a kid.... Awesome!

I usually order from RARU but they are slow these days. You could check out some other online store as there are quite a few of them around.

Would recommend you get :
  • Tweezers (holding the small parts , placing of decals)
  • Small side cutter to cut the parts from the frames. You can also use a hobby knife if you wish but its just much easier with a small side cutter.
  • Hobby knife. To remove bits of unwanted plastic from the parts.
  • filler like Tamiya filler to fill gaps and other imperfections.
  • Small file, or you can use various sanding papers to sand the seams
  • Glue (I like Tamiya glue)
  • Flat brush to paint large surfaces
  • Small detail brush to paint details
  • Paint (once again , I like Tamiya. )
You can probably get away with just a brush and few paints if you don't worry about seams , neatness etc.

But be aware, once you start you will quickly see your paint and tool collection grow.
