I got myself a well looked after 2011 Hyundai i20 1.4, with a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty (that costs 15k extra, for those wondering), but the stock exhaust sounds kak. Just wondering if doing a freeflow/ removing one of the center boxes will void my warranty. And if anyone has any shops they can recommend in the Joburg south/ Vaal area that does proper work, it would be appreciated.

With Hyundai they will void the warranty from what I have heard.
Someone else may something of their experience that differs. Bit my friends warranty was void after a mod he made to his.

If car is still under original warranty.

Call you car dealer, or nearest Hyundai dealer.
Ask them if they will void warranty if installing a full free flow or a box at a Certified Fitment Center.

I had a Polo Vivo new out of box 2012, and all I did was I run up the garage were I bought it (Gateway Volkswagen - Carletonville), asked them if I take my car to a Certified Fitment Center like Supa Quick or Hi-Q, will it void warranty, and they said if it is done by a Certified Fitment Center with proof of the installation slip, then no it will not void warranty.

So what I did was, went to Hi-Q

Installed a full exhaust
Installed Tow bar
New tires with mags

Was all good to go

Based on the age it's most likely a 3rd party warranty. I think you'll be ok.
It's kind of like an extended warranty that you take after your original warranty has expired. They only cover major damages, not the small things a normal warranty would.
