This scanner is a bit of a letdown in one specific way: I only had fun for a day and a half and all my thousands of photographs were scanned, categorized and edited.

This Scanner is specifically designed to autofeed and scan photos, but can be used to scan normal documents too.

Depending on your needs, it can also scan both sides at the same time and it takes the same time to do it, so no time lost.

I can highly recommend this scanner to anyone that want to digitize all of those packs of photos which is just collecting dust. Its also great to be able to then share it easily with family and friends, as well as keep an archive, for in case something happens to the originals.

It obviously can scan documents too, but that would be a bit of a waste of its talents.

Its scans up to and larger than A4 size.

The scans are good. Color is really good. Resolution is good enough at 300dpi, except if you have a special photo where you need to enlarge a specific area. I would recommend only scan at the default 300dpi. There isn’t that much to gain at 600dpi and the file sizes are HUGE at 600dpi and it is slower too.

It is super compact when closed and also protects itself from dust getting inside, which is any scanner’s kryptonite.

Anyway, I ordered it special from First Technology Western Cape PTY Ltd at a total cost of R8171.65 and it was procured via the agents Mustek Western Cape.

From new, I used it for a day and the next morning and that was it. It did not require any cleaning either and is still like new, with the box and packaging, see pics of the actual device.
