Hey guys,

I'm looking to secure an internship position in the Electrical/Computer engineering environment for my P1/P2 in 2018. This counts as part of my in-service training for my National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Computer Systems. If your company is looking for someone to fill such a position in the new year, or you know of someone else who is in need of an eager intern, then please feel free to drop me a PM :)

Position Wanted: Electrical/Computer Engineering Internship
Employment type: Full-time for a period of 1 year (To complete P1/P2, from there I would be open to discussion)
Salary: This would be open to discussion
Starting Date: January 2018
Location: Cape Town (Wouldn't be adverse to travelling to other parts of SA, provided that I can secure accommodation in time)
Job experience/skill: For those who are interested, I can provide you with my CV for more detailed information

I look forward to hearing from you :)

You could try TF Design in Stellenbosch, they were always looking for engineering students back in the day when I graduated.

Bumping this, as I wound up finishing the last of my courses this year instead. Feel free to drop me a PM or respond to this thread if you have any information :)

Starting date would now be January/February 2019.

Which campus are you studying at? Did you apply for in-service training at the WIL Office or Co-op?

Started on Cape Town campus, then moved to Bellville. We are currently busy with our WIL preparation lectures, which are given by our WIL coordinator. Any such registration is done through him once we submit our CV.

The WIL department will try to place you in a company once they receive all the necessary documentation from you.

If that fails, get a copy of the work objectives of the P1 and P2, and take that to companies yourself and ask them if they can help you to satisfy those objectives. Worst case you'll have to work for free to complete your qualification.

Thanks for the information (y) I've had one interview so far, with another two lined up in the next few weeks. We'll see how it goes
