Deal Thread URL: https://carbonite.co.za/index.php?t...ov-eod-account-lvl-30-with-full-stash.367145/
Seller:
@cloudii
Buyer: @JeffTheApricot
Description of Bad Deal:
I purchased an Escape From Tarkov account from @cloudii. everything was great for about a month but the password has now been changed multiple times and the account is being used by someone else. The password, profile picture and account name has been changed multiple times which has caused me a lot of frustration. I currently can not afford to purchase a new account and write this off because chemo is super fucking expensive and i just went for a R30k scan that my medical aid was gracious enough to cover half off.

I have been blocked on 2 seperate phone numbers by this user and would like a refund now.

Can the SAPS really do anything about this?

"We'd like to remind you that trading (buying and selling) Escape from Tarkov accounts is strictly forbidden by the Terms of Service. In such cases, both buyer and seller will be held liable. Therefore, we urge you to avoid making such deals. Do not buy or sell accounts secondhand! In this case, access to the game will be terminated, and buyer risks losing money forever. "

Is this not a " you know the risks " scenario?

I think it has more to do with a case of theft than anything account related

but yeah, also not sure that will lead anywhere (judging by our hard working officers)

I have my account that I'm not playing on that much, barely done anything on it this wipe if you are at all interested in lending it to play on. Think I'm like lvl 12, if you wish to pass the time on it, I know it won't be your acount and progression will practically be useless, but just if you wish to pass the time by with it.

hi Jeff. I'm sorry, I did something that I regret. I understand it was selfish and was being an asshole at the time. I have contacted you on WhatsApp and I am going to give you full email access so that you can change everything about the account, again, Im sorry, i just want to make things right

I know that you cannot transfer email addresses anymore with EFT so if you want to keep the game, he will need to give you the whole email account that the game is registered on. Best would be to get a refund and try find another account where the seller is willing to give you the whole email account too.

@cloudii How are you okay with yourself?

Guys I explained this to him yesterday, when i have him access to the email I lost all access to both of the accounts, I genuinely cannot help and I did not take the account back , as all I can do is try to get back into the email by proving I was the original owner of the account, but I haven't been able to get into contact with human support at google. I am currently still trying to get into contact with google, and I understand if you don't believe me but I am being 100% honest here
Please don't slander me, as I really am trying to help

@cloudii then give him his money back for the account, and sort it out? I don't see how it's his problem, considering you DID have full email access before, and now suddenly you don't?

I did not, I gave everything to him, I was logged out. This happened while all the accounts were in his control, and I had absolutely no access, He changed the login info and 2fa, so that it was entirely in his possession.

saying that I must refund him, is like saying you bought a car from me, but it was stolen while in your possession, and under your ownership, yet i need to refund you because I *had* access to the car, and I *owned* it previously

Ah, see critical info.

Makes sense, I agree. @JeffTheApricot is this correct, you changed all the info on the account after he gave you full access?

Hey hey,

I mean look, it's also pretty easy to take a Google account back. I don't know how it was taken back as I setup a physical key but if I try to recover the account now his number does still show up as a recovery method.

I also checked the tarkov account and the picture has been changed. The last 2 times he did this it was the same thing.

He takes the account, plays on it, changes the picture and name then gives it back after a while.

I haven't been able to handle this as much as I would have liked to as I am still big sick

Who set up the 2FA? Because you won't be able to change anything without the 2FA info. It seems to me like you might have been compromised. Where did you send the account info back and forth and where did you post the info?

I completely understand why it looks like I've been compromised but I really don't believe it was some 2rd party that did it. I've dealt with him doing this twice not including this time, it would be a pretty huge coincidence if it is someone else

Info was sent over whatsapp

we used whatsapp and he set up his 2fa

yea sure, that was wrong and I admitted to that, but I lost all access to anything when I gave you the email account

For what its worth, as it might be relevant;

I think if you contact their support team and can prove you initially owned the account, they should be able to just transfer it back to you.

I have a friend who's steam account was stolen and they enabled 2FA after the fact.
Steam made him provide some information about random purchases and once he proved he used to own it, they transferred it back.

I know this thread is around battlestate, but I can't see why they wouldn't offer the same level of help.

This might not be the case here, but I believe it's possible to get an account back even after losing complete access to it.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. Fool me three times, shame on both of us.

Hope you guys are able to get it sorted soon. Like @ovisser1 I've had a friend do this as well, try it out.

Yeah I would suggest contacting support. We're not going to interfere any further with this from an official point on this. There's too much "he said, she said" on here to make a call and it's impossible to make a call. Keeping in mind this is the exact reason why buying accounts is risky (in other words, come with this risk included).
