What's the best way to get on level 5?
- I can't seem to make it higher than level 3 without having some sort of loan or investment account at FNB
- I see Wesbank car finance no longer counts for anything (except doubling fuel earning per quarter)

1 Trick is to pay your rates and taxes using WalletDoc so it goes through as Online Spend, other than that not really sure what else to tell you?

Pay your contracts online via the app. Also helps online spend. Put some money into your savings pocket. Fill up at engen and buy groceries at checkers. That is all that I did and I am now on Level 5 after 3 months.

Some tips that won't cost you anything.
Go on to fnb app, go to ebucks tab and view "maximize your rewards once a month. That will give you 500 points
Be on the fusion pricing option, that will give you 1000 points.
Get a linked FNB youth account for your kid (it's free). That's also 1000 points.
Get your spouse on the linked spousal pricing option. That will also get your 1000 points
All of the above is for a premier account, may differ for other accounts

From what I can see on the calculator - Filling up at Engen and Shopping at checkers may earn you ebucks but does not raise your level. (I already fill up at Engen exclusively to earn ebucks on fuel)
Also, Savings pocket is not listed as a qualifying savings account on the calculator?

Do you have a fusion account? Cause maxing out all the options in "Digital banking" and "My Card" sections on the calculator but not having a fusion account (and no sim card) only gets me up to Level 4

Thanks for the advice - I have no kids and souse is with Standard bank unfortunately

I have a Premier Cheque account and Premier Credit Card on a linked price plan, but it seems the Fusion account is now physically ONE ACCOUNT - do I understand that correctly?

So the fusion account means you have one card for everything.
FNB is also giving you a top contract free until July next year. You need to pay R10 for the sim.

So given that one card is for everything, does the fusion card count towards a 100% credit card usage monthly?

I am honestly not sure how it works exactly, but I think that it would count to CC usage if you chose the credit option when paying. I am using an Islamic account so CC and current account have to be seperate.

Ah i see im on a Islamic account myself so guess that isnt an option regardless.

I love carb but for this query go here!

yes it does in short. But you can also keep your credit card account in addition to the fusion account. That's what I do.

Exactly what I do as well, so my fusion just replaced cheque card, nothing else changed. Only difference with a fusion account is that your overdraft is compulsory, but that doesn't mean you have to use it, mine is only like 1k and I never use it but I get the 1000 points.

You can use both cars and get credit car/fusion spend, so your always on 100% spend for that line item.

What are your bank charges like for the Fusion + CC account?

R385 for the bundle on PC

Seeing as my Premier Cheque and Credit Card has a linked cost of R209/month that's very close to paying double

you are not comparing apples and apples.

Prem and PC are different in pricing you need to compare

Prem fusion and CC to your acc.

True, but I do tend to make use of the benefits on PC like the Avis point to point and previously priority pass as my wife and I try to go on holiday abroad at least once a year.

So the airport transfers and international lounges are very nice to have.
