As my sig shows, I had a nice Corsair 850W PSU. Unfortunately for me, she's a goner. Lasted a long time tho!
I've got, in my bin of parts, a Corsair 650W PSU, and a Corsair 550W PSU. I'm using the 650 currently, but I cannot OC or the PSU Overcurrent protection triggers and it trips.
What I want to do, as I have space in my Haf X (also, free >>>>>> 2K+ for a new PSU) is use both the 650w and 550w in conjunction. I already know how to wire them together so they both switch on at the same time, and it is something I've done before in the good 'ol days.
What I want to know, since my mobo has 2x 8 Pin slots, can I use 1x 8Pin from each? Or will that not work out, and I should use the 550W just to power my GPU? The mobo does run fine with just 1x 8 Pin.
Thanks!
