Item: Looking for a motherboard that can support a couple of 1366 cpus. Specs aren't that important but it should be able to take a proper gpu as well as normal cpu coolers
Condition: Nothing smet
Location: Cape town, Southern suburbs
Price range: R800?

Bonus points if you can find me an ultrawide LG 25 inch and a GTX 1050ti :)
Feel free to point me in the direction of a reseller who might have one of these too

Maybe get from ebay UK? Or buy an Asrock Rack :) (better)

I had to buy my replacement board (8x, no 16x) from the USA as the few available locally were priced 15-30K.

That's crazy high, I had one quote at 4k ish which is still high but I was hoping someone here was getting rid of old server parts

Stiiilll looking

I might have a Gigabyte X58 extreme bord, Ram and Chip for you as soon as i get my upgrade...

dont hijack bru:ROFLMAO: Besides, i dont think those boards can handle X5670's

They can if the its the C2 revision, the earlier ones can't take 56xx chips. Already sent scorpioman the info so he can check.

Update: appears to be the correct revision according to the bios date, so it should be fine. You will be fine up to the 5675, anything over that (130W sku's) might be a problem.

Will also join the queue behind you (Have some DIY things to take care of first).

Dibs?
