I hope this fits into tech other..
I've scoured the DSTV forums and dstv related places and I don't necessarily get an answer to my problem.
So anyway, my tenant complained that her DSTV on 2 exploras Xtraview only work on and off. She took it to DSTV and they said it's a decoder problem, but the stuff is only 3 years old and mine worked for 10+ years so it could be, but I doubt it.
Anyway, she stays in a complex, and the body corp asked us to remove our satellite dishes from the walls so that they can do repair work. I then went to remove it and I see that another apartment has their cables inserted into my dish. Could this be the cause of her losing signal on and off as they are leeching off of my Dish? Nobody approached me nor her to ask for permission to connect their cables to my dish which I paid for, and there's other dishes too, and the DSTV installers that did mine did not suggest to connect mine to an existing dish (perhaps to get more money out of me though)
Any thoughts?
