So....

After reading up and watching a few tutorials I was in need of a e-brake to go with my T300 and didn't fancy splashing out to purchase a genuine one.

I managed to find a YouTube vid where an Arduino micro board was used to pair a Logitech pedals to USB and thus making it a fully usable USB handrake.

So I got me a Arduino board online and got stuck in.

I followed the online prompts. Disconnected a set of Logitech g27 pedals soldered the wires to the relevant points.
Loaded the software and bam connected it up and windows sees it straight away and works like a charm.

I found a old GoPro stick so mounted that to the pedal for a firm grip and voila works in project cars.

Still need to test other games

Will add some pics below of what it came out looking like.

Cheerio

Awesome project! but you're giving me chest pains seeing you use that pedal as an ebrake[emoji38]

Haha

Well it would of taken too long to order one of those hydro ones off eBay.

And the Arduino board I got locally and it was so simple to do and works amazing, the resistance on the pedal is super accurate.

Will hide it in a box so you won't see it's a pedal [emoji16]

Are you selling the other 2 pedals?
Still deciding what to do with them tbh

As the handbrake mod works great in assetto Corsa and project cars so far and using old g27 shifter so everything works great together.

Will let you know if I do. But won't sell them now I have dismantled them.

Maybe donate to a worthy cause :)

Hmm, hope I am worthy...

Well done on the DIY. Few tips:

Your soldering iron looks like it needs t be a little hotter (or you didn't wait long enough). Strip only the part of the wire that you're going to solder ie. <10mm. This can prevent short circuits. You can also use heat shrink over the soldered parts.

Agree, great job on building this, now you can neaten it up by redoing that solder job and using some heatshrink and/or cable braiding to make it look snaaich! Also find some way to mount the arduino - perhaps ask @ARKSEZA to print you something sweet ;)

Thats the plan for the weekend
We are lucky enough to have a very fancy pants 3d Printer to play with at work , so already designing a nice casing to put around it

Why not build the whole rig, you pretty much have all the basics now...
Just a thought!
