My company is looking for software developers.

Requirements:

• Degree (This is a hard requirement)
• At least a year and a half experience in Java or Spring, C#, JavaScript (Angular/React), iOS, Android
• Willing to work in Johannesburg or Cape Town

There is a lot of work coming in that they can only accept if they have the capacity for it which means there is an urgent push need to find new developers

Then they might want to re-evaluate the degree being a hard requirement if they want to find devs faster.

Speaking from recruitment experience and developer vetting, the majority do not have degrees. And a degree does not mean you can code. It teaches basic thinking patterns and logic. Putting it into practice is a different story.

Have you guys advertised on LinkedIn jobs? Many devs look for jobs there too.
