There is a differemce between standard and ecc ram. Do some research on your pc, your components, and see if its supported.

Hi Jaco, maybe just clarify as well whether it is buffered or unbuffered ECC

Some boards will still run unbuffered ECC but not buffered/registered ECC

So for everyone's benefit.

the micron 8gb sticks are registered ecc, pretty much reserved for server/workstation systems. They 99.9% will not work in normal desktop boards
