Sorry for the delay in responding, on hold for @PowerX (first dibs and PM)

This RAM won't work in Gen8 HP Microservers, they don't support REGISTERED ECC RAM.
Check the model of the RAM, if it ends in an 'R' after the type and speed it won't work.
What you need is RAM ending in an 'E' after the type and speed. I have a 2GB stick of
Gen8 Microserver compatible RAM going in my other post :
