So i ran out of power and space and cooling headroom for more miners and that got me thinking..... can you actually rent datacentre space for your mining rigs?

If you have plenty rigs then that might work nicely since the best cooling is already available there, seemingly endless power and they are secure there

Just curious if this can be done and if anybody actually already did it?

I'm sure it's technically possible, definitely wouldn't be feasible though. Or maybe it might be, I'm so far removed from crypto by choice that I have no idea what feasibility even means in that space. Charges are exorbitant and you pay for data and power usage and of course ancillaries that go with it.
Something along these lines as an example

we have 4 cabinets in teraco, roughly 20k a month before electrical costs, then youre capped at 3.4kva as well, its not worth it, pay for a friends electrical costs and drop them there instead

4x 42U populated? For 20k a month?

It might be cheaper to get eskom / municipality to provide another connection to your property.

I was getting tired of the heat as well and dont run aircons unless its really hot. I've recently installed some PC fans on a 2 windows (900x600) on a sheet of perspex. Basically have 4 coolermaster sickleflow 200 and 4 corsair ML 140 per window. Room doesn't get hot anymore, perspex keeps the rain out and windows are top hung so a fans are protected. With concerns for hail i may need to place something over the glass or install 1 of those awnings.

My new problem however is the freaking noise. Corsair ML140 are really loud at full speed so now im trying to build a diy fan controller so that i can adjust the speed.

Geez! That's slapdash but damn innovative :D
I think I know why you went this route though, energy efficient on the solar setup?
This heat is unbearable - perhaps a mister in front of those fans would cool the space even better (?)

I've set them up as extractor fans and have a window open on another side, it moves a bit of air.

Once I'm sure there's no risk for rain and hail breaking the windows, will move my rigs in front of this so the heat from the rigs get sent out directly.

It actually doesn't look too bad, with the clear perspex, just looks like the fans are floating there. That's exactly what my wife thought when she saw it. Well that and freaking out about mosquitos coming in.

If the sun shines, I have enough power. My almost 12KW of panels are able to generate enough power for everything and not use grid from around 6:30 to just before 7PM. Problem is recently there isn't much sunny days. in October, I hit 1.52MWh generation, November 1.43 and so far for December only 1.02. So December is looking really bad currently.

I agree with Qui_Iluminati - the DC prices are really expensive for everything. For example R600-900/m for one fibre or Ethernet interconnect when contractors charge you that to install it once off as a benchmark. Same is for rack space and power - very expensive and they max out the power licences so you can't get the density you want lol.
