Hope this is the right place to post.

So this past weekend, in Upper Wynberg, I was greeted with the scene of my passenger side window smashed in, and an empty void of where my Pioneer deck used to be, as well as a broken cubbyhole.

Reason for the thread?
Even though the Suzuki Jimny does not come out with an alarm (only found this out after having the car for a few months), the bastard still felt the need to damage the plastic around the radio instead of doing a neat job.
See below:

Pretty much the same damage on the other side.

Is there any way to repair this without having to buy a replacement central console?

Lessons learned?
Don't park outside in the street in Wynberg, even if there are a few cars standing in said street.
Check that your alarm works (or that you have one) when buying a car.
Install a cover over your radio - Even though that probably won't stop them from trying to break in..

Rather buy a console from scrap yard ?

Can be fixed with a Q-bond kit, sand paper, plastic primer + plastic friendly type of spray paint, but will not look the same to the rest of the console of the car, except if you spray all the plastic bits the same.

It's not worth the effort. Now that you solved that issue go and relax. [emoji23]

If the big piece can separate, I would just vinyl wrap the whole 'outer' plastic. Eliminates any hard labour and spray pains :p

Wynberg at night is no good, whether you upper or lower wynberg... AND TOWN!!! Stay away from CBD.... so many crooks!

Lots of scrap jimmy's at scrapyards, should be easy to find a replacement
